Really, probably the main reason I've been able to watch the past few weeks (granted, the Raw after Mania is the only one I've watched in full) is he's the main reason I quit in the first place. Different strokes, though.

He needs to come back with this being his new theme. linkI know some people don't like the theme on here but there is something so inherently creepy and unsettling about that song that it would be a perfect catalyst for a new Punk character or another spectrum added to the characters personality as a whole. As much as I love Punk he seemed to have turned into generic heel 101 (with a twist, that stops Punk from being boring) by the end of his last run. Looking at his character as a whole I miss the parts that referenced social sections from specifically focusing on the straight edge during the Hardy feud, or SES Punk taking references from preachers and the cult TV show hosts. I want something with a little bit more depth again. He can pull off whatever he wants. Give him a more spiritual dimension again when he gets back. Have him talk about the cause, taking out the trash in WWE, cleansing it and society of its wrong doings, turning the WWE on itself. Like SES Punk but a lot more unforgiving, no more head shaving, you don't deserved to be saved after the year long title reign which I led you on and yet you were still unappreciative of. He could say it is his "spiritual path" or something. I just know he is better than a guy going out constantly trying to get cheap heat, he is a damn good actor as the Punk character as a whole from indys to WWE has always had depth and they shouldn't stop discovering new areas of it and trying different things (that he is more than capable of), instead of relying on a "character" when it is infact just a guy going out with a microphone and Heyman just trying to get a rise out of the crowd. Let him tell a story, let him act, lets give the character arcs again. I love shooting/breaking kayfabe down Punk as much as the next guy, but there is absolutely no reason to abandon the social commentaries/dimensions of the character that resemble personalities from movies/tv/society. Damn, didn't mean to write that much. Rant over I guess...that wasn't supposed to be a rant....

I'm glad they're keeping him off TV for a while, for whatever reason. When he inevitably returns, he'll be more fresh. I mean, dude has been going pretty much non stop since late early 2011.

When he comes back, he needs to be a face. Pretty much. Honestly, I've always thought he's a better face than heel anyway, but in particular these days no one wants to boo the guy, and they're in a lot more desperate need of faces than they are heels.
