Nowhere near as disrespectful as Nitro's "Compensating for something" way of holding a belt

I liked when The Miz carried the title around instead of wearing it because he didn't just carry the thing - he was borderline hugging it like it was a ring and he was Smeagol.

Yeah, Miz had a great way of holding the belt - made him look like he was loving every second he had the thing in his possession.

The best non traditional way of wearing the title was when The Undertaker used to wear the (hardcore?) title around his neck. Bubba Ray used to wear the tag belt around his neck all the time, too.

When Curt Hennig was in WCW, I remember a time or two when he wore the US Title backwards.

When Curt Hennig was in WCW, I remember a time or two when he wore the US Title backwards. Did his entrance involve shaking his ass to the camera?

I don't get how it's disrespectful. He has always done this entrance, and he pulls the belt forwards after he does his ass shake. If anything, he keeps the front of the belt forwards at all times. You know how DIS BUSINESS is though. There's probably some old-time wreslters that are outraged or something. Overreacting to things is pretty much what pro wrestling is all about.

It makes sense that an old school purist like JBL would hate on it, but it makes sense that a cocky jackass like Ziggler would do it. Hey, it makes him stand out from the crowd. I say keep it up. Yup. If it gets a response, it's working. It worked for Austin too; he might have "dragged" it around like it was cumbersome, but look at the response when he lifts it up: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnvnS7abIJk

The only ting I'm upset about in this is you can't see his ass much any more during dat entrance.

It reminds me of a really old school weight lifting belt. And a really random thought, I wonder if any of these guys take a dump while holding the strap...just because 'they can'. Like they're THAT much the champion that even the most vile tasks have to be elevated because they're the champion. I can picture Triple H doing that. Actually, I can picture CM Punk doing it "ironically." Which because he's such a mark for being a smartass, sort of nullifies the irony of it. (And before any CM Punk fans jump to defend him, I actually think he's great and wouldn't want him to be anything other than who he is.)

I kinda always wanted to see a tag team due this with a promotion's tag titles and turn the belts forward in perfect sync with each other.

Kevin Nash said that the first thing he did when he got home as WWE Champion was walk around his house only wearing the belt. That makes Bret kissing the belt after him winning it back that much more hilarious.
