Didn't The Giant get tossed off the top of the stadium and showed up later on that very night acting like nothing happened? I'll always remember this thanks to the Best of Halloween Havoc VHS I had growing up.

Orton's punt which has took out superstars for months only phased Cena for a matter of minutes That was storytelling from the match where Orton injured his leg and was unable to add the extra oomf of the punt. The announcers even said as much.

this is why the Cena hate really annoys me. People seem to edit things together in their heads that have nothing to do with each other.
it's not a from WWE so I can't post it but search John Cena returns by Mustangstar22. It's blurry as hell but you can see how well he's moving.

Hogan crushing Rock between an ambulance and I think he showed up on Raw the next night with just a band aid or something. nah, rock showed up a week later on smackdown, with a bandage on the side of his chest, but still sprinted to the ring as if nothing happened.

Austin dropping a car with Triple H inside it from a forklift, next night, Hunter shows up with just a band-aid. I believe on that show the announcers or Triple H himself said he managed to escape before Austin dropped the car.

It doesn't help matters when they book all these comic book esq perils for Cena, are they as bad as some say? No, But Cena slightly limping after being choke slammed into a damn spotlight is not in any reasonable sense how one would sell that. In fact just before each big match spot they used to book for cena (not so much now) I have expected the screen to freeze and Vince to say "WILL CENA ESCAPE THE MIGHTY POWERBOMB FROM THE GIANT? FIND OUT IN THE NEXT EPISODE!! SAME CENA TIME....SAME CENA CHANNEL!!!

I was at thr Raw the day after Cena got thrown through the spotlight! I remember seeing him show up at the end for a run in but that's it. I also met his dad that night, and got my picture with him (while wearing an Edge shirt, lol)

John Cena no sold everything from his legendary accounter against Jesus. He then squashed Jesus brutually in which buried Jesus so deep that Jesus never came back for a second time! That's no way to treat Jesus one of the most popular names of all time. Worse yet he defeated Jesus during Armageddon!

Austin dropping a car with Triple H inside it from a forklift, next night, Hunter shows up with just a band-aid. That was so hilariously nonsensical that I can't even hate it. I had the tape of Survivor Series 2000 when I was a kid and probably wore it out just rewinding and watching the end over and over just to laugh at it. It's honestly one of my all-time favourite moments in wrestling, made even better by Triple H's "HOLY SHIT!" as the car goes down.

Didn't The Giant get tossed off the top of the stadium and showed up later on that very night acting like nothing happened? But the question is. Did he land in the parking lot or in the river?

The announcers even said as much. Yeah, that was the Cell match where Cena worked on Orton's leg the entire match. So storytelling wise is made perfect sense, Cena had hurt Orton's leg, therefore the punt wasn't nearly as effective.

You are all missing the point. The WWE is only showcasing the incredible advancements made by the American medical facilities. They have doctors working day and night, day and night, to ensure that your favourite superstars, namely John Cena, can appear as scheduled to entertain us, the WWE Universe.

I don't remember Cena limping the following night after the searchlight spot. I remember him just walking to the ring, instead of his usual run. Not much selling.

Cena did not appear till the last segment and at the end of that match between Batista and Big SHow he kind of shuffle-limped out to near the front of the set. Not even anywhere near the ring. There was also a ref there trying to stop him that Cena was sort of using for support.

Yeah, people expected Cena to just not show up on Raw, which woulda made sense. But the way they handled it wasn't anything ridiculous.

He got walked out there holding on to a referee and then stood there unable to move.
I think he sold it well enough.

He got walked out there holding on to a referee and then stood there unable to move. I think he sold it well enough. Also, he had to forfeit a match to Miz earlier that night because he was too hurt to compete, which led to the Miz 7-0 Cena mini-storyline.
