Just thought I'd throw this out here. Trips is looking for talent and Joe is definitely talented. Add to that TNA hasn't done much with Joe in a while, so he could probably use the change of scenery. Plus, there's no real shortage of interesting match-ups and feuds they could do.

I don't think it's too late as Joe is really good friends with Punk and Cena. I think the bigger issue is whether or not Joe would want to go to WWE at this point. For some guys, WWE isn't their ultimate dream.

I've gotten the impression that there is no interest on either side.
Joe seems happy where he is and with the money he's making, and there haven't been any rumors about WWE looking at Joe in forever.

I think the ship's sailed. Joe looks even less suited to the WWE than Kevin Steen does at this point.

I'd like to think eventually Styles and Joe will both end up in WWE, one way or another. But time isn't really on their side and the older they get I bet the less chance they want to travel/get out of their comfort zone in TNA.

If Joe is content with being a guy in TNA instead of trying his luck on the big stage, I guess that's completely fine. He's almost like Kofi Kingston of TNA, always around, never the man.

It's about the same as Intercontinental title or sth.

He could go...but they wouldn't try to make him a big deal at this point.

I think it's a safe bet that Kofi will never be a world champion in WWE.

I firmly believe that he'll win the WHC at least a couple times before it's all said and done.

I've always been entertained by Kofi, but I just don't think they'll let him have a run with a big title. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

I feel like the only way that other people will get a chance in the midcard is if they push Kofi into the main event.

At least Samoa Joe won World Titles in TNA and doesn't come off as "the token midcard guy". Those are 'TNA World titles', hardly on the level of WWE world titles. It's about the same as Intercontinental title or sth. The TNA world title is pretty hard to get from a kayfabe standpoint, especially after Russo left. Wins and losses matter (see the BFG Series). Whereas in the WWE one could become champion or number one contender despite losing all of their matches. If there is one thing TNA does right, it is the way they make the world title seem important and subsequently difficult to win. As far as Joe, I think stopped caring a long time ago. His matches are usually 10 minutes now, even his good ones (vs Aries at Slammiversary and Angle at Destination X). I am not sure whether it it due to a health situation (i.e. his weight) or not. Regardless, if he is happy where he is, more power to him. He will always be a high midcard/main event talent in TNA regardless.

In all honesty, if Joe slimmed down a bit, I could picture him as a member of The Shield

If he was signed would they let him skip developmental?

If he was signed would they let him skip developmental? I figure they would, honestly. That or he'd spend a considerably small amount of time there. The main reasons for developmental is to get them TV ready and to help them adjust to a safer style, and he has no real problem with either.

I think Joe will eventually have a WWE run.
I think Kofi will at least get a main event program down the line as well.

If we could somehow go back in time and retrive the 2005 Samoa Joe, sure.
