Diaz v Silva could be good. Probably won't be as much of a draw now though.

Diaz v Silva could be good. Probably won't be as much of a draw now though. I think it could be given the injury Silva is coming back from. Also it's his first non title fight in several years, given how skeptical people still think his loses to Weidman are, I think this will be a big draw. Also with his win tonight, it's likely Lawler will get his rematch with Hendricks on Jan. 3 Also Aldo vs. Mendes 2 is now happening in Brazil at UFC 179. Mendes is probably so pissed he has to fight Aldo in Brazil again. This isn't gonna stop the whole Aldo-faking-injury talk from him.

Diaz resigned to fight Anderson. Gina vs. Ronda. UFCs seeming more gimmicky than it has in a while... It's been that way for a while honestly.

Texeira vs. Davis is set as the co-main for UFC 179.
Meantime, Tarec Saffeidine will face Rory MacDonald in Halifax for an upcoming Fight Night.

I still have no intrest in Jones v Cormier. Jones is just gonna wipe the floor with him.

I mean, he has no problem with having a height and reach deficiency, seeing as he beat the crap outta Josh Barnett who's quite a bit bigger than him (And subject of my most recent MMAdness on the main site! #cheapshill), but like I've said in the past, Jones is like a human cheat code. He's got amazing wrestling and his stand up's pretty damn good, what with his ridiculous reach, I see him holding onto the belt for a long time. That being said, I could be wrong, and Cormier could live up to the "Black Fedor" hype and beat the shit outta him.

Seems like a gross abuse of power in an attempt to make up for not fining him when they had the chance. Grappling tournaments aren't regulated by SAC rules, and the event is in freaking California. Don't get me wrong, Chael should have been fined at the NSAC meeting last month but this just seems petty and shady as f***

The only fight I really thought he showed top tier skill was the Barnett fight but other than that, I've always thought he was kinda meh. Personally, I don't think he should be even mentioned in the same sentence as Fedor let alone be called The Black Fedor. Anyway, I still think Gus will be the one to beat Bones. Honestly, I thought he won the last fight which is why I really want to see the rematch.

Agreed, from a purely story telling standpoint, Gustaffson should be the one to beat him, and he probably will. He should've won last time.

I honestly think he's the only one who CAN beat Jones, at least from an ability standpoint, esp. if he works on his gas tank a bit. Cormier is good but I simply think Jones is far too good an opponent. Rd1 KO is my prediction.

He can't stand up with Jones, he probably can't out wrestle Jones, so he's gonna have a tough time. Gustaffson, on the other hand, has the sheer power and ability to give Bones a run for his money. That being said, I'd like to think he'd put up more of a fight than going down in the first. I quite enjoyed his fight with Barnett, I figured he'd get crushed in that and he proved me wrong. I mean, I like Jones, but I'm getting to the Anderson Silva point where I kinda want someone to beat him at some point.
