Hector Lombard will now face a returning Josh Burkman Returns at UFC 182.
Also watched some of Bellator 127 and thats now the third main event in a row that has been finished before even 2 minutes of the first round has gone by.

RIP Josh Burkman. Let's not predict in which round he gets finished, but in what minute of the first round he gets knocked out, I think Lombards puts him down on 1:30 of the first round. With all due respect to Burkman, ok he did well on his former company, I think he looked well against Jon Fitch (who had no business trying to strike with him, if he focused on his wrestling the fight would've been diferent), but Hector is just on another level, even the fights he lost at middleweight could be debated that he won those fights. Hector put down Toquinho Palhares, Nate Marquardt, manhandled Jake Shields, even Tyron FN Woodley is scared of him.
Guys from World Series of MMA, like Anthony Johnson and Arlovski, pulled upsets this year, but I don't see Burkman winning. I don't think the athletic commission should even allow it, it's just a huge mismatch.

And the winner of dumbarse of the week goes to Piotr Hallmann as he tested positive for drostanolone (I have no idea that is pronounced) which means he will no longer get the 50k fight of night bonus that he was originally awarded in his last fight.

Rory MacDonald has been announced as No. 1 contender for the WW and will fight the winner of Hendricks/Lawler 2 in Canada next year.
Also Royce Gracie has joined Bellator as a Brand Ambassador (what ever the hell that is anyway) so there is a good chance he is now on Dana White's shitlist.

Dana announcing Rory as the next title contender and that the fight will happen in Canada, likely March, is just begging for something to go wrong.

Jacaré Souza has let his intention known about wanting to fight Dan Henderson at middleweight and Hendo is up to the idea. This is more of a rumor but it might happen around the January 3rd card if Henderson is to be believed.

Never thought this was going to happen again but today in his WSOF debut Jake Shields actually finished a fight for the first time in more than 5 years

Son of a bitch. Report is Cain injured his knee and is out of UFC 180. Mark Hunt is rumored to fight Werdum for the interim title now.

Cain "They call me Mister Glass" Velasequez.
This is one of my reasons he's never going to be big in the mainstream. He gets injured constantly, causing him to miss a year or more at a time. He has no personality whatsoever and the UFC heavyweight division sucks.
I'm still a UFC fan but I haven't seen a major card since the 4th of the July weekend Weidman/Machida fight. This has been an absolutely awful year for the UFC.

It's somewhat fitting that Silva's leg break happened on the last PPV of 2013, because it really set the tone for how things would go. The injury rate this year has made it nearly impossible to look forward to main events anymore.
Despite that, I think that Werdum vs Hunt is an interesting fight, although I don't see it being a close one. Either Hunt knocks him out or Werdum picks him apart.

Holy f*** the Mexican market is now death, and people wonder why Cain can't draw a nickel, they were actually gonna do a ppv in Mexico right after he beat Brock but surprise Cain got injured back then also.
