Ariel Helwani is the poster boy of knowing his role. He has to toe the company line otherwise he loses access to getting UFC guys for his MMA Hour podcast, break news and not being able to do post fight interviews on FS1 for Fight Nights. It's like I want to criticize him for being beholden to the company's mantra, but I realize that it's essentially the only way to advance your career in MMA media and he's not the only person who does it (I see you Karyn Bryant). Look at what's happened to Josh Gross or Kevin Iole or of course Loretta Hunt when they piss into the wind in the southwestern direction of Zuffa HQ.
I think Bloody Elbow won't be getting any Christmas cards this year either with them basically figuring out Zuffa's revenue/profits/etc. in their expose they're doing. Great read.

I don't get the ufc, they bashed the mma media which they pretty much control. I still don't understand why nobody mentioned Dana's mom and her book, or Lorenzo Fertitta's alleged infidelity. I don't know if there are sports where the biggest promotion actually has a hand in deleting threads in forums.

I can't believe I'm saying this...but Bellator was better when Bjorn Rebney was in charge.

I know it's awful and freak show levels of ridiculous... but I'm watching that fight between two men who will be 101 years old combined in February when they enter the cage.

Rousey is cover star for new UFC game. I'm not sure anyone expected otherwise though I did give Connor a 20% chance of being the cover athlete.

On the facebook cover image it's her and then a shadowy guy. I was wondering if they were gonna do another two person cover. I'd imagine McGregor would get the nod if it's a two person deal.

I believe that's a placeholder image but from what i'm reading on sites it just keeps saying Rousey is cover girl. The video they released only showcased her as well. However, considering how mainstream she is this could be one those things where people are glancing over someone who would be on the cover with her.

Well the upcoming UFC event in Korea is cursed again as Thiago Alves has pulled out of the main event due to broken ribs.

According to a Q and A with Dana White:
- Women's flyweight will be the next weight class to be added, but he's giving the other divisions time to grow first. - If Conor beats Aldo (who Dana is confident will fight at 194 despite what Chael Sonnen is reporting), that one stadium in Ireland is next. - If Cyborg makes weight, she'll be next in line for Rousey's title. - Preliminary gate numbers for 194 are past the $9M mark, and it's not sold out yet.

- If Cyborg makes weight, she'll be next in line for Rousey's title. Might have to rethink that one.

Dana focusing his attention on Misha Tate saying(paraphrasing) if she wants to retire she should. Not every woman knows what it's like to carry the belt but they all think they can. Kind of interesting he's saying that though this was before Holly won and Joanna getting injured.
