"Six Barrel Shotgun" begins to play as Alex Shelley makes his way to the ring. As Shelley enters the ring, the crowd begins to chant "Please Don't Go!", causing Shelley to smirk.
I'm sorry guys, I really am. But at this moment in my life, it's time to quit while I'm still on top. I had a great match with Joey Ryan, a great match with Jeff Hardy, and the last few days have been all about saying goodbye to the guys in the back. From Al Snow to Lee South, everyone's been supportive. And even though I turned in my letter, it's hard to imagine that after the PPV, Alex Shelley won't be a TNA employee.
I've had a lit of good years. From my debut to Paparazzi Productions to my partnership with my buddy Chris Sabin, it's been a hell of a ride. One that I'll never forget. And when I held the TNA World Title, when I looked out into the sea of fans chanting my name, I knew I had no regrets. I knew I could leave and be satisfied with my time. But before I leave, there's something I have to do.
Chris, could you come down here?
The sounds of "1967" are heard as Chris Sabin makes his way down to the ring. The former TNA Tag champs share a quick hug as Sabin enters the ring, drawing a cheer from the crowd.
Chris, for a long time now, it's been you and me. Travelling the roads, teaming together, sticking by each other no matter what. Numerous runs with the TNA Tag titles, the IWGP Jr. Tag belts, and numerous titles around the globe. And when I announced my time was done, you supported me. Heck, you put in a good word for me, and now I've got a gig with New Japan Pro Wrestling lined up for next month. You've been my partner and my best friend, and I know that when Alex Shelley leaves, Chris Sabin will truly make an impact here in TNA.
I know I'm leaving after the PPV, but I want to make sure that night is memorable. We may not be able to get one last run with the belts, but if I can have one more match, I'd be honored if it was against you.
Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin, one last time, showing the world why we are Detroit's finest. What do you say?
Sabin nods in agreement as the two shake hands, drawing a huge reaction from the crowd. Sabin raises Shelley's hand as we go to a commercial. ----------------------
We cut backstage to Tommy Mercer leaning against a locker wearing headphones with his eyes closed.
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright It's alright, it's alright, it's alright It's alright, it's alright, it's alright It's alright, it's alright, it's alright No one's got it all No one's got it all No one's got it all
Mercer opens his eyes and removes his headphones, leaning forward and starting straight into the camera.
Samoa Joe, it approaches, in less than a week, the TNA Legends Championship will be placed on the line as Tommy ‘Crimson’ Mercer defends the honor of a company against the ‘Samoan Submission F*** You’ Samoa Joe, with his devil’s championship. But, that is for the future, and also for the future is something I have planned for Slammiversary, but that is enough for Slammiversary chat. Instead let’s talk about tonight, where ‘The Canadian Destroyer’ former Lake Erie Monster, that was a great team name, Petey Williams himself has a match with your FTWness before his match with my broadcast partner K Double. Now, I am not going to hope that Petey injures you, or that Petey beats you, embarrasses you on the eve of our battle, or anything really, because while you may win some battles, the war was decided long, long, LONG, ago.

We cut to the back where we see Petey Williams in the midst of pull ups as he hangs just above the floor. Hermie Sadler is standing by, watching on.
Hermie Sadler here. I'm with the number one contender to the TNA X-Division Championship, Petey Williams. Petey, you've gotta be feeling good going into this Sunday where you have a chance to compete against Kenny King. But tonight you have to get through Samoa Joe first.
Tell me, what are your thoughts going into this match?
My thoughts, Herm? Well, my thoughts are simple really: I'm looking to win and send a message to King tonight. After all that's the only way I'm gonna be able to get his attention. If I don't have a good showing tonight then there's no way I'm going to be able to be ready for Sunday. Samoa Joe is one of the toughest opponents I've faced during my career in TNA. He and I have taken each other to the limit many times in the past.
He's proven time and time again that he's never an opponent you overlook. Even a few months back when he was in that slump, he still showed that he wasn't a guy you wanted to mess with. And after seeing what he did to a guy like Magnus, I have to admit... I'm not exactly looking forward to this match entirely. There's no telling what Joe will do out there if he feels like it. He could break my neak just like he tried to do with my English compatriot! And there's no way I'm going anywhere Sunday if that happens.
So as far as I'm concerned my strategy is to keep him off-balance. Joe is a tough customer to overcome, but even a guy like him has his weakness. And Joe's is his temper. When he gets angry, frustrated even, the guy loses his ability to focus. That right there makes him more susceptible to whatever offense I can unleash upon him. So all I have to do is get in his head and get him off-balance. Once I do that I just have to wear him down from there.
Easier then done, of course, but I've never been the sort of guy who can turn down a challenge. You match me up against anybody and I will go out there everytime and give it all I've got! And this Sunday I'm gonna do the same thing when I get my hands on King. He may think that I'm just gonna be another notch on his belt, but I can assure him that when the time comes I'm gonna turn his world upside down.
Petey swings down to the floor, dusting his hands off.
Hermie, I know that King is gonna be watching out there tonight. So all I have to say to him is that he better keep a close eye on me tonight. Because I'm roaring and ready to go. And this Sunday, at Slammiversary, I'm gonna show the world that Petey is ready to climb back to the top of the X-Division! Because it's been way too long since I stood there.
King, I hope you enjoyed the view up there. Because this Sunday I'm bringing you back down.
Petey smiles and makes his exit as we cut to the next scene.

Well I hope you don't mind, but we have another pair of guests joining us at the table tonight.Geez... four was ridiculous enough, but now we've got six at the booth?!...Let's welcome the number one contender to the FTW Championship, Tommy Mercer, and the current reigning X-Division Champion himself, Kenny King. Please, Tenay, let's be completely accurate, I am the Number One Contender to the title held by Samoa Joe, he just so happens to call it the Eff Tee Dub Cee. And when I restore it to rightful glory it will be the TNA Legend's championship again. Let's just get this over and done with, shall we? I got better places to be than this.Well I must say these two have more class than that slimeball over there we call world champion.Wow Simon, that may be the nicest thing you've said about me so far. Thanks, buddy.King, Mercer. How are you two doing tonight?Oh I'm just dandy. I'm cramped up because for some reason we've got to have Joey out here, BA insists he has something worthwhile to add and Ruby probably loves getting another chance to hear himself talk but I'm great! I'm excellent! I am very please that I am able to both rest and get a leg up on Samoa Joe as he goes into battle with Petey Williams. I know this is a little off-topic, but I've gotta ask. How does it feel to see your partner in crime, Phil Shatter tied for first in the BFG Series so far?Honestly, and this may surprise Rampage or Tenay here, but I am incredibly happy for Phil. I mean no disrespect to the man down the booth with the fanciest belt in TNA, but I am really looking forward to Phil keeping the momentum clear going into Slammiversary. He is really excited about how close he has come to main eventing a TNA Pay Per View, and I couldn't be happier that he has something to do and is succeeding. The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Nation of ViolenceIntroducing first, from the Isle of Samoa, he is the TNA FTW Champion, Samoa Joe! This Sunday Samoa Joe defends his newly won FTW Championship for the first time against a man who many are saying has earned it, Tommy Mercer. Tommy, do you have any thoughts regarding this Sunday? Samoa Joe is gonna die. Interesting... well Joe can't afford to lose here tonight if he wants to maintain the wave of momentum he has right now. He's been an unstoppable machine as of late. It's going to be intriguing to see how he fares tonight against Williams.Maple Leaf MuscleHis opponent, from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Petey Williams! Williams also has a date this Sunday, with you, Kenny. And he's gonna be looking to take your X-Division belt. How do you feel about that?I won't deny that Petey Williams is an excellent wrestler but he's certainly no King. We'll steal the show at Slammiversary, we'll blow the roof off the place because it doesn't get any better than the X Division and if there's anybody in that ring or here at the desk that doubts it, I'm happy to prove them wrong. We've heard you talking recently about how you felt wronged by being excluded from the Bound for Glory Series. And I'll admit I was a little surprised myself you weren't chosen.Nothing surprises me in this company anymore. If TNA wants to squander a main event star in the making, so be it. Long as I'm getting my pay each week, I couldn't care what TNA does with the rest of its money.Honestly, I feel for ya, man. But don't think whining about it is gonna help. Nor is running down the company that put your name on the map.
Oh and by the way, I've been meaning to talk to you about exactly what you did to get a job here. Namely who you screwed over...I didn't screw anybody. TNA gave us both a chance and while they liked what they saw in me, the man you're referring to just didn't have what it took. What was I supposed to do? Opportunity came knocking, I answered.Yeah, well just watch out. You never know when that opportunity is gonna turn around and knock you back out on your ass.Whoa, things are getting heated here. Let's focus on the match for now, guys. Williams has a tough task ahead of him here. If he can knock off Joe tonight that will send a huge message to his opponent this Sunday.Petey Williams vs Samoa Joe 10 Minutes

Samoa Joe comes off the ropes for a big boot but Petey rolls under it, popping back up and nailing Joe with an enziguri bringing him down to a knee! He springs off the ropes and comes back, wrapping his legs around and taking him over with a snap hurricanrana! Joe stumbles back to his feet, grasping his neck as Williams slips behind him, bringing him down with a Sleeper Drop! He makes the cover.
1!
2!
Williams showing some fight here! He's definitely not letting Joe push him around! You've got impressed with his resilience, King!
Still early days yet. Samoa Joe is methodical, he will wear you down until you can't get up... and then he'll bring you up anyway so he can beat you down some more!
Joe powers out sending Petey flying! As he rises to his feet Williams assaults him with a flurry of kicks, trying to keep the big man down, He comes off the ropes and leaps at him with a crossbody only for Joe to snatch him in mid-air, bringing him down across his knee for a backbreaker! Williams cringes in pain, Joe hefting him up and following with a Samoan Drop, of course. He makes a cover of his own.
1!
2!
Damn! Joe just straight up flattened Petey there! That could be all she wrote.
Don't count Petey Williams out, it is just the way you have to play Samoa Joe, just keep getting up from what he throws at you.
Williams kicks out. Joe looks on in annoyance, driving a leg down across his throat before springing off the ropes himself, coming back and flattening him with a seated senton across the chest! Williams arches off the mat in pain as Joe covers again.
1!
2!
Williams gets the shoulder up. Joe looks annoyed with this, dragging Williams to his feet and grabbing him by the waist, looking for a belly to belly. Williams however counters, grabbing hold of him by the neck and spiking him with a Tornado DDT! Joe flops to the mat, grasping the area as Williams falls atop, hooking the leg!
1!
2!
Joe kicks out.
So close... but Joe just refuses to stay down.
Joe's a fighter through and through. I ALMOST hate to say this, but at risk of being in poor taste, I think the only way to keep him down is to kill him.
He comes off the top turnbuckle, taking Joe off his feet once again with a huge crossbody!
Shoot. I just remembered that thing I forgot to do. Just give us a second guys.
What, where is he going?
Probably needed a break from hearing you prattle on, Tenay.
Petey beckons Joe to rise, pulling him to his feet and signaling for the end... when King dives in and smashes him in the face with the X-Division Championship!
Here is your winner, by disqualification, Petey Williams!
Oh come on! What was that for, man?
Denial of the enemy at the gates. King saw what he had to do to deny both Samoa Joe and Petey Williams and he took it. I am just glad he did it so that I don't have to. It has been an absolute pleasure.
Hey, at least he helped him win the match... sort of.
This isn't exactly what I would call a win!
Well, fair and pro wrestling sadly don't always go hand in hand, Mike. You do what you gotta do to get a win...
The crowd boos as Williams lays on the mat in a heap, Joe rolling to the outside as King motions for Petey to rise back up. He grabs him and lifts him up onto his shoulders, driving him down into the mat with the Coronation! Williams goes down again, King standing over him and holding up his X-Division Championship proudly.

Folks, before we move on with the show we'd like to take you back to last week where... one of TNA's own... well, just watch the footage for yourself.
As of this week, Eric Bischoff has suspended Rob Terry until further notice. We apologize to any of you who had to witness that.
Well let's move on from that nasty business. This Sunday we will play host to Slammiversary! The celebration of TNA's past, present, and future!
To start off we will see the FTW Title on the line as Tommy Mercer challenges Samoa Joe for the gold. Mercer has made it clear he wants to become the Television Champion once again. But in order to do it he'll have to knock off a man whose on one of the hottest runs he's had in a long time here in TNA.
After that we'll see the debut of Garett Bischoff as he takes on Magnus one on one. This one was set up earlier tonight. Bischoff is hoping Magnus will teach his son some respect for his elders while Garett will no doubt be looking to prove to him that he belongs in the ring and with The Psycho Circus.
Then we'll have a match between some up and comers and some established talents. The Beautiful People defend their titles against Hannah and Holly. These two have surprised everyone tonight and so they've been given the opportunity to vye for the gold! The question is will it be enough for them to take home the victory?
After that the X-Division title is on the line. Petey Williams won his opportunity to challenge King thanks to a win over Jeff Hardy last month. And now he's got his chance to challenge Kenny King. King has asserted himself as the X-Division Champion ever since he won the belt, but also hasn't been shy about complaining about disrespect he's been shown. He has the chance to prove he deserves to be treated better by retaining this Sunday.
Then we have the swan song of one of TNA's stand out stars. The Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Alex Shelley, has his last match against none other than his tag team partner, Chris Sabin. These two have been close for a long time here in TNA, including racking up a record five TNA Tag Title reigns. This Sunday they finally square off. No doubt it'll be a match to remember.
Then we have the return of King of the Mountain! Five tag teams all contending for the fabled titles as they hang above the ring. Matt Morgan and Eric Young defend their belts against Bad Influence, Jersey Shore Shark Attack, and in a surprise, both the New Church and L.A.X. Bischoff definitely drew some wild cards for that particular match. I look forward to seeing what transpires when the time comes between those five teams!
Then it's the third, and perhaps final encounter: Gail Kim vs Hamada III. Once again the Women's Championship is on the line. Hamada threw out the challenge earlier tonight, and one woman was more than happy to accept. And now these two women will fight tooth and nail to make sure they leave with that belt in hand.
And then we have our main event. Joey Ryan will defend the title... but against who, it's yet to be determined! But chances are it could be either Sting, a rival of his, or it could be Phil Shatter, a man who would be getting his first opportunity at the gold. Or it could even be a triple threat when all is said and done. We'll have to wait until the main event before we find out.
Folks, Slammiversary is this Sunday and it's promising to be a Hell of a show. I, for one, am looking forward to it. But for now we have one final match to see through. So let's head TO THE BACK!

Phil Shatter is backstage, Tommy ‘Crimson’ Mercer can be seen where he was earlier tonight again listening to something, Mark LoMonaco is seen slinking around the background.
Now, I don’t know if it got through your Psycho Circusy skull, Sting, but, you and I are tied for the lead in Bound For Glory series points. This means that, all things being equal, you and I are tied for the shot at Joey Ryan at Slammiversary. But, all things are not equal, and by the end of the tonight that will not longer be the case. Right Tommy?
Tommy does not even move his head.
When the Jester sang for the king and queen in a coat he borrowed from James Dean In a voice that came from you and me Oh, and while the King was looking down the Jester stole his thorny crown The courtroom was adjourned - no verdict was returned
Always a solid hand at the promo, Tommy ‘Crimson’ Mercer. Now, as I was saying, All things are not equal, it will be. Myself. Versus. Sting. In THE Main Event for the second week in a row. That’s right, for two weeks now ol’ “Top Gun” Phil Shatter has had his name at the top of a card. Now, last week Stinger, I told another bonafide wrestling legend Kurt Angle that I would be trying every single underhanded trick in the book, and then force Tommy and Mark to write their own to get the win. Well, for this week, I’ve got something far more important to focus on, you see, the Circus is in Town! And there is nothing Top Gun hates more than the circus. … Sting versus Shatter, TNA Impact Wrestling. The Winner faces Joey Ryan at Slammiversary. I’d call that a big enough match to warrant some… Protection. … So remember Sting. We are building a religion, we are building it bigger, we are widening the corridors and adding more lanes. We are BUILDING A RELIGION, A LIMITED EDITION, WE ARE NOW accepting offers for our pendant key chains. To Resist it is Useless, It is Useless to Resist It. -----------------------
We head backstage to Sting, in ringleader gear. Christy is next to him.
So last week, you just rhymed a lot. You going to do the same this week?
Nah, dear Christy. Repetition is for the weak. *Sting smirks*
Well then, are you prepared for the match against Top Gun?
Prepared? Certainly. But I know its not going to be any fun.
Alright, you're still rhyming. Come on Sting, what's the deal?
Sorry Christy, what can I say? It's my Achilles heel.
Christy rolls her eyes and Sting looks at the camera.
I'm not here to rhyme, nor joke around, nor have any bit of fun. I'm here to find a way to defeat Phil Shatter and walk away with the match at Sacrifice against Joey Ryan. I've fought that punk three months ago and we went to a draw. I fought him two months ago and he barely edged me out. Give me one more chance and I know I can make him tap. It's as simple as that.
You realize there is a chance that Shatter beats you and earns that shot, right?
Of course.
But there is also the chance I get injured and can't even fight at Slammiversary. There's a chance I get a flat tire and don't even make the ppv. There's a chance I get struck by lightning and blow up in a million pieces. Everything Christy, there is a chance for everything to happen. But if you're not looking and thinking about success, there is no way you'll reach it.
Shatter is also undefeated in this tournament, so its going to come down to either me or him. Phil, I know you. I know you're not a slouch. You're a hard worker, you're a determined fighter, and you're an over confident prick. All qualities that make someone a good champion. But I'm not intimidated or afraid or nervous at all. I'm ready to go out there and do what I do best.
Ladies and Gentlemen...
IT'S SHOWTIME!

The following contest is scheduled for one fall, it is part of the Bound for Glory Series, and it is your maaaaaaaaaaaain event! Slay MeIntroducing first, from Venice Beach, California, Sting! Sting is undefeated so far in the Bound for Glory Series. He's definitely shown why he is a veteran these past few weeks. If he wins here tonight than he could be looking forward to another encounter with you, Ryan. I bet you're looking forward to that possibility.Sting's definitely on the fast track to the title. But he and Young both know better than anyone else, there's no greater road block than That 70's Kick.Comfort EagleHis opponent, from Hickory, North Carolina, Phil Shatter! Or it could be this man, the dark horse of the Series thus far. Phil Shatter has opened alot of eyes already since this thing began. Question his tactics all you like, but the guy has also remained undefeated.Indeed... I hate to admit it, but Shatter has definitely impressed. Ryan, how would you feel defending your belt against this man?I say bring it on. Joey Ryan fears NO OPPONENT!Well most likely it'll be one of these two vying for the gold. And when this match concludes we'll find out who it is.Sting vs Phil Shatter (Bound for Glory Series Match: Winner Faces Joey Ryan at Slammiversary) 10 Minutes

Shatter comes off the ropes taking Sting down with a clothesline. He hits him with a second as he rises, scooping him up and planting him with a bodyslam into the mat! He bounces off the ropes, coming back and dropping an elbow across his chest, looking for the pin.
1!
2!
Sting kicks out. Shatter grabs him as he rises, hefting him up and holding him overhead, lifting him with a delayed vertical suplex, showing off his power before falling back and driving him down into the mat once more! Sting arches off the mat in pain, Shatter going once more for the pin.
1!
2!
Sting kicks out.
Shatter refusing to let Sting take over. He's hitting him with everything he's got to keep him down!
Shatter looks at his downed opponent, motioning him to rise. As he does he charges in looking for a spear. Sting however leaps over him in mid-run, Shatter missing the mark. As he turns around Sting hoists him up and drives him down with an inverted atomic drop sending him staggering back. He then comes off the ropes himself, nailing him between the eyes with a big boot! Shatter goes down, Sting making the cover.
1!
2!
Shatter kicks out. Sting looks annoyed himself at this, yanking the man to his feet and hoisting him high overhead in a military press! He asserts his own strength as he carries the man around, eventually driving him face down into the canvas! Shatter bounces off the mat, writhing in pain. As he pushes back to his feet Sting grabs him by the neck and charges forward, planting him with a running bulldog! He follows up with a leg drop across the throat for good measure before making the cover.
1!
2!
Shatter kicks out.
Sting's turned the tables now. That missed Spear may have sealed Shatter's fate tonight.
Sting watches as he rises again, grabbing him from behind and looking to bring him down with a Scorpion Deathdrop. But Shatter manuevers behind him, shoving him forward into the ropes and right into LoMonaco who racks him throat first across the top one! As he stumbles back, Shatters scoops him up high into the air, driving him down with a powerbomb!
Sting crumples to the mat, but Shatter isn't done. He bends Sting over in the middle of the ring and sits back, applying a Stretch Muffler, nearly bending Sting in half! Sting resists for as long as he can, but eventually has no choice but to tap out!
1!
2!
3!
Here is your winner, by submission, Phil Shatter!
And Shatter jumps WAY ahead with a ten point boost! That's the first submission victory in this tournament so far!
That was impressive, without a doubt. Joey, looks like you've got a tough test ahead of you this Sunday. Any thoughts on your opponent?
Remember before, when I said bring it on? Do I need to say it again?
Well I, for one, am looking forward to it.
This Sunday it's TNA Slammiversary! Phil Shatter challenges Joey Ryan for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! This one is going to be a treat, I suspect.
Well for Simon Diamond, Rampage Jackson, and the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Joey Ryan, I'm Mike Tenay. Thanks for tuning in and we'll see you this Sunday.
We fade out as Joey Ryan rises from his chair, holding his belt up high and staring Shatter down in the ring, who sneers and makes the belt motion. The two men lock eyes as we fade to black.
