Bischoff did a lot more than the nWo, I know the winners write history, but WWE's telling of "All Bischoff did was buy WWE talent while WWE thought that competition was good and wanted a fair p;laying ground" is laughable to anyone whos watched wrestling longer than a couple of years, Bischoff deserves a METRIC BUTTLOAD of credit for taking a flailing company that was bordering on unwatchable and making it as big as it was. He either got lazy/bored towards the end, but he was certainly more than just the nWo.

I don't think it's fair to say Bischoff stole ideas when the violence from ECW was inspired by Japanese wrestling. If you're going to point out one, then do the other as well. Vince always paints the picture as Eric Bischoff's success came from stealing established talent from the WWF, but Vince himself did the same a few years earlier when he signed Ric Flair, Lex Luger, Sid Vicious, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and a few others just to make his product superior. So if you want to say that Bischoff copied Vince's plan then you can say yes. But pro wrestling is like any other sport or entertainment. If you want to get better and have the money to spend you do it even if it means grabbing talent from your competitors. Most of WWF top talent from the 80's were already stars in other company's when Vince decided to make wrestling mainstream. Macho Man (Memphis), Hogan, Hennig, Rude, and Road Warriors (AWA and NWA). Ted Turner gave Eric Bischoff the red light to take a chance and make WCW a competitor, and that he did. Why crap on him for that.

Heyman is better, but you must give Bichoff credit for hiring on more luchadores than Heyman did. True, the cruiserweights were never elevated near the top of the shows, but at least Bichoff imported enough Mexican luchadores to make WCW's cruiserweight division seem meaningful rather than like an afterthought, like the way the WWF has always ran its cruiserweight/lightweight division.
But could Heyman even afford to hire on as many luchadores at a time as Bichoff? I DON'T KNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! (I doubt it, though).
