I wanted Chrom, and hope we still get him, either as a costume for Ike or something else, but I did like playing as Ike.
Just, PLEASE, new voice actor!
"I fight fo my fwends." "You'll get no sympathy from me!"
Only thing that didn't sound stupid was him yelling out GREAT AETHER!!!!, but that might not even be the same voice actor.

Well... now I hope Chrom (and Lucina. And Roy) can be costume changes for Marth, kinda like the Villager having male and female versions.

f*** this costume noise! It is time to expand the Fire Emblem representatives to 3(or more)! Nintendo would be fools not to have a representative from Awakening as a playable character. It is the most popular/successful Fire Emblem game. Having mere costumes of characters from that game would be an insult, imo.

A video from GameXplain talking about Ike had the idea of having the player character from Awakening be in Smash, gender swappable like Wii Fit Trainer and Villager are.

Players for the invitational, the announcers, host, rules and a special surprise at the end I approve of this development.

Of course, you still have to buy Gamecube controllers if you don't have them anymore.
Why don't they themselves still sell them? They're still mighty popular.

Luckily I still have my GameCube, so if I decide to get this I don't need the controllers.
Wonder if this is also being made with the possibility of GameCube games coming to WiiU VC.

They clearly have a SSB branded one in the works. That's good. At first glance, they look like those cheap ones that you see at used game stores. As long as they maintain the quality, it'd be worth it. Thankfully, I kept my Gamecube controllers. I don't understand why they don't go Wavebird though. That was one of my favorite controllers ever.

Because this is clearly a move done for the Smash tournament scene and if you know anything about fighting game tournament players it is they HATE wireless controllers, for a whole host of reasons.

I'm happy I've held onto 2 Wavebirds and a purple controller. IF they manufacture a Smash-Cube controller, I will be the first in line in Lubbock...

Cool to see a new stage again. Wonder if those are the only two versions of it or if there'll be others.

There might be more variants. It may be the Wii U version of Tortimer Island.
I was hoping the 3DS version would be available to try, because that's the one I will play. I also expect the E3 reveal to showcase at least 2 new characters, and although my hope isn't as high, I still think Isaac will make it in.
Just one more week to go.

I know this'll be discussd more on the E3 thread, but I felt this needed a bump since this is Nintendo's main game this year.
Anyway... GameFAQs commenters are such idiots. One of them compared Mewtwo's absence in the series to how the WWE tries to ignore Chris Benoit. How dumb can you be?
On happier notes, I have high hopes for Isaac. Oh, I hate that practice, but I'm gonna enjoy being on the other side of the fence while the rest of the masses complain about no Ridley or Palutena.
And if its not meant to be, so be it.

Except that Mewtwo has a chance of still appearing, even if just as a trophy (doubt that stickers are returning).

OK...I know that Nintendo's E3 Direct is coming up in about 9 hours, but this I had to share from the MiiVerse. "Pic of the day. New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a game where you collect tons of coins. Thus, it's only natural that many coins will appear in this stage… Wait, is this really Super Smash Bros??" "If you collect 100 coins, you transform into a gold fighter! For a short period of time, your attack power will increase and you won't flinch when you receive attacks. This unique stage's name is Golden Plains and it's exclusive to the 3DS version."

3 Mario stages in the 3DS version & still no Star Fox or Metroid stage. Kinda sums up Nintendo don't it?
