Silver Samus seems right out of Mass Effect.

Here's the full post about it: Pic of the day. Until now, you were only able to choose from four, or sometimes five or six colors for each character. This time, though, all characters have eight colors to choose from! The first four color schemes for Samus are based off her Varia Suit, Fusion Suit, Gravity Suit from Super Metroid, and the Dark Suit. …And here she is in the color schemes of the Gravity Suit from Metroid Prime, Green Samus (a regular in the Smash series), the Light Suit, and Dark Samus. A total of eight colors. You can choose between four male and four female Villagers to play with. The designs for their faces and clothes are different. And here are the four Villagers we haven't shown you yet.

It kind of bugs me that none of the Villagers have the classic horned hat. That's a bit of a letdown.

Looks very impressive, but I was kinda hoping for slight changes to Samus's suit for each of them. I still view Metroid Prime 2: Echoes as having the most radical of suits for Samus, considering how the Dark Suit was bulky and crude while the Light Suit was sleek and beautiful. It kind of bugs me that none of the Villagers have the classic horned hat. That's a bit of a letdown. I think that was a conscious decision. In Animal Forest & Animal Crossing, the idea was that the Villager wanted to present himself as sort of an animal with the group, but I never did understand how the female Villagers had doe ears.

I honestly can't see myself ever playing Smash Run unless it's required for some unlockables. Absolutely nothing I've heard about it sounds interesting to me.

Unless they have alternate tracks for those Smash scenarios, I can see people getting bored quickly.

They get early access to a game I want, and here I am having to wait until after my birthday like a sucker!

Some things of note: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} *Wolf is OUT! Fox has a Wolf-themed alternate attire. *Chrom is not going to be a playable character, in case some hangers-on still had hope. *Dry Bowser might be getting in as an alternate costume of Bowser, which'd be cool. *Lucina wasn't playable, which was strange. *What wasn't mentioned, but discussed by the user on SmashBoards who refers to these, was that he saw "16-bit tanks", referring to Infantry & Tanks. They are coming back, but also proving that Advance Wars isn't getting a playable character. *Since Isaac wasn't revealed in any of these situations, either he was dropped entirely out of the game (unlikely) or he himself made it to playable and is being saved for the game's official release.
If what the last part is true... I'm gonna be "YES!ing" until the cows come home.

Actually the part with Dry Bowser is out of date. The guy reporting it said it wasn't an alt, but the site didn't update that.
As for Lucina, it looks like she'll be a hidden character. Word is to unlock her, you need to either defeat 100 Miis as Marth or play 400 vs. matches.

The Smash Demo in Japan has ended, so that will conclude the Zipzo feedback. Barring any gameplay leaks this week by eager Nipponese players who manage to get early copies, Judgement Day will begin Friday night.
However, he did state that this demo wasn't the final build and that not once did he see either two of the remaining most-wanted characters; Ridley or Isaac.
This makes me very optimistic about Isaac (although it can still go the other way), but if you still want Ridley, you might be sweating a bit.

Ridley always seems like an odd call for Smash as he is 2-3 times the size of Samus and although they got away with it for Bowser I just can't see a Bowser size Ridley working.
Love to see him in the game but he comes across more as a boss than a playable character.

I mean see his size in like Mario 64, Galaxy, and Sunshine and compare it to Super Mario Bros 1, Super Mario Bros 3, Mario Kart (or really any of the Mario Sports games) Save for the Original Game (where nothing was really scaled right) Ridley always pretty much been conclusively much bigger than Samus in their canon.

Ah yes NES Metroid where Kraid was shorter than Samus, lol
