I like how they kept her dress all frilly from Brawl, but kept her hair simplified. I'm not surprised about that, but I was surprised to see Wii Fit Trainer and Villager on the 3DS. I expected Villager (since two of the five Animal Crossing games were on the DS and 3DS), but not Wii Fit Trainer. It's already been said that the roster will be the same for both versions, only the stages (and maybe game modes) will be different.

Originally they said same number of characters, hence people wondering. But we also still don't know if Olimar will be in (he wouldn't be as easy to impliment as W.F.T. or Villager). Glad to see Peach make her return. She better still do the "Oh, did I win?" victory quote! Also, that's not how you do the "Me Gusta" face, Villager.

Also: Either 1)Peach is a fan of Diamond Dallas Page or 2)Peach has learned how to learn Tien's Tri Beam.

Also: Peach is a fan of Diamond Dallas Page "It's me, it's me, it's Prin-cess Peach!" Or, if she references the WCW theme... "Peach high-five!" Yeah, that's all I've got.

OK, I was personally not aware of that quote. I had only gone by the Nintendo Developer's Direct with Sakurai. Glad to hear all the same characters will be there. Now put Sonic in so we can have that Mario/Sonic/Mega Man 3 way fight!

I'm gonna just say, if they didn't fix Gannondorf, don't bother bringing him back. He absolutely sucked in Brawl and made the 100 man brawl incredibly difficult to achieve.

I didn't know that. On that day, the Nintendo E3 Direct didn't load when it was supposed to, and I didn't find out about Super Smash Bros. until 11:30 that day. However, I still see some problems with the 3DS version. The argument isn't having version exclusives, but the fact that the 3DS is going to present some logistical nightmares for gimmick-based fighters, such as Olimar (who is going to have seven different types of Pikmin) and the Ice Climbers. But, this means that I can play as Isaac on both the 3DS and Wii U versions (if they finally put Golden Sun in...).

There were some rumors that they may have tried to have Demise replace Ganondorf, but those are pretty much unfounded. The problem with him is that they play him as a slower version of Captain Falcon, when he clearly invokves an entirely different moveset than what he is given. They did make Bowser act more like the Bowser we're familiar with for this version, so maybe there's hope for the Gerudo King.

They did make Bowser act more like the Bowser we're familiar with for this version, so maybe there's hope for the Gerudo King. The key issue was that he was too slow. Granted, there were other slow characters, but they were only slow at moving or they had slow moves. For example, Capt. Falcon moved fast, but a lot of his moves required a set up. Bowser moved slow but had a lot of quick jab moves. Gannondorf had neither, and even had some kind of diving move which more times that not spelled immediate death to whoever tried it. The only move he had which was good was his Smash move, which required you to flick the C stick or pressing 1 + 2 at the same time, if playing on a Gamecube controller and Wiimote respectively. And if you aren't precise, he doesn't do the move...and guess what? You can't reconfigure the Smash move in the controller settings, which is pure bullshit. So essentially, I usually was required to luck out in terms of getting KOs with him by waiting for people to come to me, because there's no way you can keep up with them. I don't ever remember him being complete garbage in Melee.

I still don't get how the 3DS is going to have a problem with character like Olimar or Ice Climbers. I look at it more as a coding thing. The 3DS can easily support those characters, but the problem is that Olimar's gameplay revolves around six independent Pikmin at his disposal (and there will be seven different kinds), and the Ice Climbers are essentially two independent characters working together, so you would have to code them both together, both seperate, and only one if his or her partner is eliminated. In Olimar's case, those Pikmin are going to be given color hues, like TMNT: Smash Up!. The 3DS's card can support up to 32 GB of space if it feels like it needs to be done (and games in the next two or three years will be doing so), and with the apparant elimination of a large-scale story mode, more emphasis can be on getting those characters right. And, I can actually see the 3DS version being treated more like Melee, unless these characters actually can use Final Smashes on that version. I care about these details because the 3DS version will be a Day One purchase for me, for sure.

There, every confirmed character is in both versions. No more mystery.
