Why the hell are people latching on to Chorus men of all people being playable? Ridley I kinda get... though it's pretty laughable at the lengths these people are going that he's totally playable you guys! But the Chorus men? It's just because of everyone believing that one prominent leak that had them listed and refusing to admit they were wrong to trust it. Chrom they could find a way to rationalize but the Chorus Men have to be playable or they were wrong about it. Personally, I can avoid that trap since I didn't learn of it until after Robin and Lucina were revealed. Granted there is one big iffy thing in all of this that still bares some considering - before the guy who posted the ESRB leak put that out, he put out something with a collection of pictures of all of the characters with the cut ones Xed off and the new ones included... and Mewtwo who had a question mark over him. That part does seem weird. Rumor going around that a lot of people have latched on to despite there not being a shred of evidence supporting it saying that there'll be a 100 floor challenge ladder in the Wii U version as its main selling point, and that Ridley, Mewtwo, Impa, the Chorus Men, and Dixie will be transferable to the 3DS one from it. Later came out with a stage list, and it said Game & Wario as a stage as opposed to Gamer. Not 100% shot down but given it also listed things like Greenhouse and Forest Haven as opposed to things like, "Game & Watch stage," or, "Wind Waker forest stage," it's pretty likely. Incidentally, this game has exposed me to a type of troll that really ticks me off, and that is people who insist on referring to Jigglypuff as a male. Like, yeah, it can be, but look at the one in Smash Bros., if you're claiming it's intended to be male you're just doing so to be a dick. It has a mere 25% chance of being male, so yeah, it's likely female. That said, nothing is preventing the various costumes from being differently gendered, so Jigglypuff is probably whatever gender you would want it to be, it's not like Pikachu where there would be a visible difference. True, though I'm kind of talking about a more specific breed of troll that will argue night and day that it's undoubtedly a boy and you're sexist if you think it wearing a hair bow is more or less confirmation of the Smash Bros. Jigglypuff being a girl.

So, did anyone who downloaded the demo use Dr. Mario at some point? If so, does his forward aerial still send opponents upward?

I loved what today's POTD was for the 3DS version. Guess what it is? And, this is so stupid: {Spoiler}

Random fight idea - Wendy vs. Sonic vs. Little Mac vs. King Dedede, battle for fast food supremacy.

Well, I've already pre-ordered the game, and I just ordered a Smash themed 3DS.
Bring it on.

Little bit late, but close enough - ...MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!! Sorry, that's just been something I've been shouting a lot since playing Hyrule Warriors. And (even though the context should be obvious) no, I'm not explaining that. Go play it yourself. It's a great way to kill three days until Smash Bros is out.

So I just got done playing the recent demo.
The controls take some getting used to on the 3DS. They feel responsive, but I guess the transition from console to handheld is a little awkward at first. That said I could probably get the hang of things after awhile.
The character roster on the demo was interesting. Mario, Link, and Pikachu all seem like they were in Brawl, and it is nice to finally have a Purple Link skin. Megaman I expected in the demo. He plays like you'd imagine, though the lack of close combat options is a little jarring at first. As for Villager, an interesting choice for sure. Not sure if he/she's one I'd play too often though.
Was interesting that not counting female Villager there were no female characters featured. Personally I don't care about that sort of thing, but I imagine there are some who did.
They only included one stage as well. Another surprise as I would have expected at least two.
All in all it's given me a taste of the game, and I'm excited to play the full version.

Technically there's two stages in the demo, just hit X on the stage select screen.

Yeah, there are two stages, Battlefield regular and Battlefield final destination.

I've been waiting since Smash Brothers' inception for Mega Man and I am not disappointed. He's definitely going to be my go to character. I can wait for the full release so I can see what his custom moves bring to the table.

I just saw a video of the Bowser's Castle section of the Paper Mario stage... No exaggeration, that looks like the single worst stage in the entire series.
