Does anyone think TNA may pick him up? I think a three man team of Tenay, Taz and Striker would be really good and he could probably host Xplosion and PPV Pre Shows also.
What do you all think?

With Striker available this would have been the perfect opportunity to get rid of the deadwood that is Tenay and Taz. Todd Kennelly and Matt Striker would have been a great team. But Todd is gone so that plan's gone. Still would bring Striker in though.

Striker gave a 5 star performance on commentary last night for FWE, he more than convinced me that he would be perfect for a spot at the TNA commentary booth. I can't see them ever getting rid of Tenay and Taz but if I were TNA I would make a grab for Striker and then try and pull off a coup and bring back Todd Grisham as his partner, those two did some amazing work together and neither man was the same once they split the team up.

Considering how Tenay and Taz got rid of their biggest threat of Tom Kenely, I highly doubt they would welcome Striker to the table.

Boot Tenay and give the Striker/Taz combo a try. I'm actually starting to enjoy Taz as the bumbling heel commentator, Tenay's reactions are what make the dynamic uncomfortable.

Yeah I think you're right, I find it hard to say as I think Tenay is a institution at this point but I think it might be time for him to step away and if not retire maybe go back to doing backstage interviews or something of that ilk.

Yeah Tenay needs to go. He's just....I mean when he was 'the professor' who chimed in once in a while in wcw it worked OK, but as the main dude for TNA, the dude just doesn't work.
Stryker would be a good replacement and not just cause he's ex-wwe either.

I love the idea of bringing in The Grish to team with Striker, their styles are made for each other. Probably the best announcer combination I've heard in the last 5 years. Wonder if he could work for ESPN and just make TVs/PPVs for Impact? Their schedule is pretty light, 2 TVs a month and a PPV every 3 months. Tenay could do his sit-down interviews, be part of some kayfabe Championship Commitee or the Gut Check judges' panel, and maybe do some work for the TNA website, articles/interviews etc. I wouldn't want the guy to be fired

I was on a long sabbatical from watching WWE when Grisham was around but I'd check out the occasional match and Grisham's commentary for the Punk/Hardy TLC match in '09 was painful. I just can't imagine him being any good at all.

I want them to sign him just to see what nicknames he'd give the TNA talent.

He'd probably make 100 "sly" WWE references every week as well.

I just can't imagine him being any good at all. I think he was working with JR at that time, and those two never meshed. Grisham is really laidback and deadpan, and JR has those tendencies as well, so they lacked energy as a unit. Striker's over the top, wordy descriptions were countered perfectly by Grisham's more laconic style, and the two had a really good back and forth, asking each other questions and things like that.

Yes! Please! I really hope TNA hires Striker. Taz and Tenay are so terrible together, especially when Taz is just talking nonsensical bullshit and Tenay goes "What?" and Taz goes full retard and answers "exactly!". TNA's commentary has gone full retard and they desperaterly need new blood to save us from that awfulness!

Honestly, one line from Striker, and people are never gonna let that go. Sometimes, I think wrestling fans deserve what they get as far as awful commentary goes.
He'd be better than Taz by a wide margin. If Taz has to stay, please make it a 3-man commentary booth and keep Taz's mouth taped shut for everything except Aces & 8's.

They should boot Taz and Tenay and have Keneley and Striker in the booth.

I'd welcome him to TNA with open arms. He would be an instant improvement over Taz, Tenay, or Hemme. And if they needed a manager, he could definitely pull that off well too. He's good at hype, if nothing else.
