Anyone remember this? I was just thinking about what the best promotion to showcase young talent today is and it made me think of MatRats. Anyone have any memories of the matches or anything else. I remember way back when they had at least a small online presence, but it seems like the company has nearly been whipped clean from the Net. Although i did find this video:
Some random notes:
*I COMPLETELY forgot that Bischoff was involved with this company.
*Anyone else find it slightly disturbing a promotion built around kids has the name "rats" in the title? After all when most people think of rats in wrestling they usually think of people like this:
Here's the Internet Archive link.you can (or rather, could) load matches directly from the site, but you need(ed) Peer Genius to do it. Oh... And if you look hard enough, you'll find a link to a backyard fed. Classy.

Basically Mat Rats was backyard wrestling except with professionally trained kids and better equipment. It reminded me of NWF Kids Pro Wrestling.

"You're one of these f***ing Matrats. You're not here to work a match or cut a promo, you just hang out. Act like you f***ing live here!"
I have a podcast now. "Nothing's Funny with Jeff & Josh". Here's our second episode, "Amorality vs Eh-morality" in which we discuss "Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows", the things Stu Hart would do to young men in his basement, and the great U.S.-Canada War of 1997.
