If their family was so happy together, then why was there a divorce settlement? Is the "happy family scene" they showed on his DVD truly genuine? What do you guys think Sam meant by their marriage being "irretrievably broken"? They were clearly not the happy family the WWE made them out to be. And now that they're divorced, they can legally live their own lives now. (The fact that Sam didn't accompany Randy to the Hall of Fame recently should say something, too.) Just a note, I am not on Randy's side nor am I on Sam's. Maybe I just have no sympathy because my own parents split and I was totally fine with it because at least my parents didn't have to deal with each other anymore. As for how I saw it coming... Did the rumors of Randy's affair not circulate in any dirtsheet? Honestly any woman that marries a wrestler and expects them not to cheat is naive at best and outright stupid at worst. That's part of the lifestyle and she should have known going in that there was a strong possibility that would happen. I personally don't really care but I don't understand how athletes wives are surprised to find out that their husband who is a celebrity in peak physical condition and on the road more than he's at home cheat on them. Besides who's to say that his wife wasn't cheating on him as well? She's got the house to herself for like 300 days out of the year. I'm just glad that this one appears to be amicable.

Funnily enough if you love someone it should be possible to not be a lowlife unfaithful asshole who can't just jerk it and then f*** like a demon when he gets home. If you're that pathetic that you can't keep it in your pants until you're with the woman or man you love, you're not fit to be in a marriage, let alone a relationship, in the first place. "Oh he's an athlete." "Oh, he's away all the time." "Oh, it's understandable." Is the excuses that weak people without any spine make about partners who are just as weak. There is never an excuse for cheating, never.

Somewhere in North Carolina, a man is currently sitting in a feather robe is wishing he stayed in touch with Orton over the years just so he could have met Randy's attorney.

I'm not sure I agree with the whole "There is never an excuse for cheating" thing because we're all human, we all make mistakes and sometimes shit happens without you meaning it to but yeah the "I'm on the road all the time" excuse is bullshit. No doubt it can't be easy to be without your loved ones for so long but that doesn't mean your partner should expect you to play away from home. And it certainly doesn't mean they're the bad guy when you cheat on them. It's almost as if it's being spun like this is Orton's wife's fault and that's ridiculous.

There is never an excuse for cheating, never. I'm not saying that it's right I'm just pointing out that that's the way that the world turns. There's a reason why guys like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Randy Orton, John Cena, or whoever else you want to name cheat and it has a lot to do with the lifestyle. It's just the nature of the beast, and unless any one of us has the ridiculous schedule that the WWE guys have with people telling you how great you are and women constantly throwing themselves at you I don't think that we can really say what they would do in that situation. It's really easy to say that one would just jerk it until they got home, but when the grind of the road starts up and all that comes with it I doubt that it's so simple. For the record I don't believe in marriage, it's an outdated practice anyways.

While I agree with your views on marriage I find there to be a big difference between marriage being outdated and not remaining loyal to the person you love. I can understand what you're saying, I just don't understand how you can betray someone you love just for a cheap thrill like that. I never have and I never will.

So does this reported income line up with that thread a while back reporting what WWE superstars make a year?

Sad to hear about the divorce. I hope it's not going to be to hard on Randy, his wife, or his daughter. At least the settlement seemed to be smooth but I wish them the best of luck. Didn't Randy Orton usually travel with his wife and daughter on his bus? Because if so I'd imagine its going to be rough on the kid not seeing both parents often now.

Glad to hear that it was an amicable split but still, sucks to hear that.
It seems like maintaining a marriage while being a top star in wrestling is damn near impossible.

Do we know how long Orton has left on his contract, or when he signed it?
Only, $3.5m is a lot of money for a guy who is no longer one of your main-event stars (and FWIW, I'm a big fan of the guy). I bet the WWE would love to get out of that deal.
