Street Fighter IV came out in 2009, Super Street Fighter IV was 2010, Arcade Edition came in 2011, they took 2012 off. So 4 year old game. I know, but my point was that why do it now? Why can't Capcom just do a new Street Fighter game? 2D Fighting games tend to have a pretty good shelf life. 3D ones get recycled a bit more often, but Capcom does tend to do significant revamps between games of a major series.

In the grand scheme of things, $3 a character isn't bad. It's actually a bit cheaper than a lot of other new character DLC, which tend to go for $5 per character.

Hugo in SSFIV? oh boy this is going to be a problem for Groose. Hopefully he'll be a lot more competitive and easier to use than he was in SFXT.

And Rainbow Mika is still stuck on the sidelines.

Looks like the new stages are being copied from SFxT, as well :/ I'm pretty much convinced the new char will be Asura, now.

People still getting upset about Capcom stretching out their games and adding as much DLC as possible is like people complaining about it being hot in July.

Capcom just revealed the new title for the update at EVO as Ultra Super Street Fighter IV. Still leaving room for a 'Hyper'.

Ono confirmed via tweet today that the fifth character is neither Asura nor Bad Boxart Mega Man. He had already said that it's a character that's never been in a Street Fighter game before, but did not say it was a new character, leading many to believe it'll be someone from another Capcom franchise.

I'm guessing they'll be adding Championship mode to Ultra.

This is fantastic news. I welcome the addition of new characters & stages & I find that the price is pretty spot on. Really looking forward to this when it gets released.

Only one of the characters is new, the other characters and stages are being reused from SFxT. Sure it means they are new to SSF4, but it means Capcom is back to their practice of reusing resources to be cheap. Am I glad to see Elena in SSF4? Sure, but would've preferred characters not used in SFxT.

I'm just glad to see them as part of SFIV, regardless of Capcom's practice. Simply put, I love Street Fighter IV. I usually get my ass kicked online (mostly by Joker) but this game has been a constant source of entertainment over the last three years. So I welcome any DLC for this game, whether it be characters who had appeared in previous titles or gameplay balancing or whatever. Just my opinion.

SF4 plays differently enough from SFxT where they can't just be straight exports. Sure they re-use the models, but so what? The models in SFxT look pretty nice and can fit in well with SF4's models. It's not like they're putting in Morrigan's Darkstalkers sprite like they did in MvC2 where it looked so hilariously out of place. Besides for anyone who doesn't really play SFxT, they're just as new characters as anyone else who could've been in the game. Hugo in SSFIV? oh boy this is going to be a problem for Groose. Hopefully he'll be a lot more competitive and easier to use than he was in SFXT. The sad thing is I don't think Hugo has been competitive in any game he's appeared in except maybe SvC Chaos. He's like the grappler version of Dan, though not as obvious a joke character.
