This one is pretty well known but Mick Foley's second match of his career was as a jobber for the WWF in a tag match against the British Bulldogs. To go from having your first match be in front of 20 people to wrestling in Madison Square Garden on your second would be pretty crazy.

Despite once having the word in the name, the company was never a federation, but always a centrally operated family business.

Yeah I think you're right, I was getting his Madison Square Garden Snuka story mixed up with this match, either way it would still be quite a step up.

The nWo's first appearance on WWE/F programming was on Sunday Night Heat.
Sunday Night Heat was used as a pre-show for PPV's, so before No Way Out started, they were shown talking in a dressing room on SNH.

Nearly half of all WWE World Heavyweight Champions have technically been cruiserweights. Has any "heavyweight" title in wrestling ever had an official weight restriction? Not talking about "little guys being too small to get pushed" but the title actually only being open to bigger guys?

Wasn't Curt Hennigs first WWF finisher a flying forearm? I think he used it for a few weeks before the perfect plex.

Edge is the most decorated wrestler in WWE history.
He's also the only person to ever win King of the Ring, Money in the Bank and the Royal Rumble.

WWE owns the rights to the initials WCW, ECW, AWA, WCCW but not WWF. Sorry to derail your post, but WWE no longer owns the rights to the ECW initials anymore. There was story on this a few months back about how they forgot to renew and someone was able to get the rights.

In 2001, along with WCW, McMahon almost brought the UFC at the suggestion of Shane who wanted to buy it. In 2007, Vince also almost brought Pride FC.

The reason why the XFL came into being is because the CFL offered to sell the Toronto Argonauts to McMahon, but McMahon declined, saying he wanted to buy the entire CFL.

In 2002, Lennox Lewis was offered 5 million by McMahon to come into WWE after he retired from boxing.

So does that mean they have to bleep out the initials ECW whenever they show ECW matches? Must be really awkward for crowd chants.

Indeed, however the company that tried to pick up the trademark was later denied by the government. WWE has since reclaimed it (or at least filed to reclaim it).

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the first appearance of the WWE logo was subtly debuted on Sunday Night Heat as well. Judgment Day 2002 was the first ppv under the WWE name (and was in Nashville, TN which is why I remember) and the ordering info was shown on Sunday Night Heat the day before the first "Get the F out" commercial came on Raw. The logo on the promo spot was missing the F. Granted, I had a crap tv at the time and I thought it was just messed up at the top of the screen but that would be one hell of a coincidence if that was why the 'F' was missing.

My fave: JBL & D'Lo Brown wrestled at 3 consecutive WrestleManias with a different tag partner in each one.
JBL: With Blackjack Windham (13), DOA's Chainz (14) and Faarooq (15) D'Lo: With Mark Henry (14), Test (15) and the Godfather (WM 16/2000)
