When I was growing up, I REALLY liked Eet and Ern; a couple of advertising mascots for Kellogg's. I don't know exactly how long the two were around, but you can't find a ton of commercials or pictures of them out there. Fortunately there's a video of two of those ads that was uploaded late last year, but there's not too much outside of this.
I had read something about Kellogg's supposedly bringing them back, but unless I missed it that didn't happen.
So, yeah, who are some of your favorite advertising mascots that were around but for a minute or two?

Taco Bell's Nacho and Dog. I think they were exclusively for their kids menu, but they came out around the same time that their chiulhaua did, so they sorta got drowned out.

The Sun Fizz and Trunk Monkey are awesome! I can imagine some a-hole screaming "IT'S A CHIMPANZEE, NOT A MONKEY!" the whole time at the tv, though.

I have to admit, I was a really little guy when Fruit Brute was around (I was three when they discontinued it) but Yummy Mummy came out when I was 8, so I can remember it a little better. I actually wish they'd bring those guys and their cereal back...I'd like to give it another chance, to see if maybe I like it better now that I'm older. |
