Someone should make another dance track like "I Can't Help" featuring botched or idiotic promos. That's money.

I may be wrong, but I believe Batista didn't come back from his injury untill after Rey lost the title. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. EDIT: Well according to wikipedia he technically could have requested a shot against Rey. Batista came back 7/7/06 and Booker beat Rey 7/23/06. So Batista had 15 days to ask Rey for a shot (can't count 7/23 as Rey was already scheduled). They were even tag team partners, while Rey was still the champion. WWE logic at it´s finest. Did they tag during those 15 days? If they did, I missed it, which is possible, as I don't get to catch Smackdown every week. But before that, when they teamed, it was Batista who was champ.

I believe they tagged with Lashley at SNME D'OH! The match that Mark Henry got his knee blown up. Man, my memory is getting bad as I get older. Well, odanobunaga, I guess he could have gone after Rey in that match. Here is an (kayfabe) way to explain why he didn't though: Rey was already signed to face Booker when Batista came back, so Batista couldn't get a title shot. And since Booker beat Rey, Batista didn't need to go after Rey. Well, that is the best I can come up with anyway.

I always wonder where Batista would have wound up without Triple H.

There's a delightfully awful Smokin' Gunns promo during KOTR '96, right before they go out for their title defense against the Godwinns. The backstage interviewer (Dok or Pettingill) asks a question about Sunny being their manager, and it's as if Billy doesn't understand how to string words together in sentences. He's absolutely stumped. He ends up saying something like, "Well, hey ... you know ... uh ... I mean, uh ... look at her."

I always wonder where Batista would have wound up without Triple H. Probably in the same position, just maybe not as popular for the brief period that he was on top of the world. For a few months, he WAS the most popular guy in the WWE, in my opinion. People were losing their minds when he came out. And I don't blame him, he had a nice mix of intense and smartass microphone work, was clever (not just a big dumb lug) and dressed well. And he seemed to move a bit quicker and hit a bit harder in the ring than he does now. I think Triple H really brought out the best in him. Once he moved to Smackdown, it was downhill.

Triple H doesn't get the credit he deserves since 03 because he's married to Steph.
