Gorilla Monsoon will be eagerly anticipating introducing "Art O'Donnell" to his fellow members of the afterlife.

Is it wrong that I thought he was already dead? RIP. Well, not really. I was expecting a lot of the "How Much Does This Guy Weigh?" comments, and got it. RIP. He was a legend for the Colts franchise, and fans of the team will miss him just as much as they will in Baltimore.

I live in Baltimore and for several years, when I was younger, was fortunate enough to be around Art many times. For a short while my father and I had connections with a few of the Colts' players. I would see Art at local charity dinners, restaurants and bars, at the football hall of fame and many autograph signings. Pretty much anything a few of the Colts' players were doing I would wind up being around them. We have a long last memory of being able to meet Art in his home (picture also shows Colts' Art DeCarlo at his home). I don't think Art ever refused anyone an autograph or a picture. If a man is to be measured by his heart then Art weighs more than Yokozuna, Mable, 123 Kid...really the entire WWF 1994 roster. Attachments:

Farewell, sweet prince. You are now asking how much angels weigh now.

Do you think Gorilla met him and introduced him around?
"Hey everyone.. this is Art Odono..... Art.... Art Donovan."

Wouldn't it have been funny if Art was actually a huge wrestling fan, could've done awesome on commentary but once he heard Gorilla screw up his name he decided to tank the show. With his humor I would not have put it past him.
I would've loved to hear a Gorilla or Macho shoot just to hear their KOTR comments. I asked Art, in 2002, if he remembered KOTR but it seemed like he had no clue what I was asking. I asked if he met Vince McMahon and he said "no but I'm meeting you."

After the first match, where it became obvious that Art Donovan was way out of his depth, WWF officials should have sent someone down to the ringside area to collect him, then have Gorilla say "well thanks Art for sitting in for our opening match here at King of the Ring, we really appreciate it" then have him escorted/dragged backstage.

Vince wasn't there. He took the night off to get ready for his upcoming steroid trial.

I would think he would have at least gotten a phone call like when Bob Uecker mentions being called by Vince for one of the Wrestlemanias, maybe even an in-person contract signing for appearance.
