Career failure? I'm sure he's a dick, but yeesh Sly, lil hyperbole there. And while I love Ford, he looks ANCIENT now days. Sly doesn't look too much better, to be frank (no pun intended). Coincidentally, out of the three, Bruce has aged the best by and far. Willis is about ten years younger than Sly though.

IMO , Bolo Yeung deserves it more than Ford.....let Bolo into the lime light again , if anyone deserves a role in that movie it's him

Have they put Mr. T or Hulk Hogan in any of the films yet? Hell, just have Hogan be an arms dealer.
"Let me tell you something dude, one pull of the trigger, jack won't know what hit him, Brother!"

They need to make references to all the bad movies sly and arnie did. We need references to Junior and Stop or my mom will shoot in the next movie. Heck, even take a shot at crystal skull if you want (name some guy mutt and have him die while swinging on a vine).

I liked the second one more. More action, less boring drama and romance sub plot, JCVD was a memorable villain like I can't remember who was the villain in the first one other then SCSA being the second in command it was Eric Roberts, because who else would you get to play a slimy arms dealer? I also thought the second one was better though, between the intentionally hokey "Liam Hemsworth has a girl back home and then dies" bit and JCVD giving a surprisingly awesome turn as the villain.

I've never been much of a Willis fan. Moonlighting was before my time, and while I enjoyed the first Die Hard...I disliked each sequel with each release that came out. There's a few other movies that Bruce has been in that are good, but overall, they're almost never good because of him. He just fills the shoes. I'll go so far as to say that he's only modestly more talented than a guy like Steve Guttenberg...imagine if HE got the Die Hard role? Not only that, but Willis has actually regressed as an actor in recent years. He'll squint at the camera looking cocky, spout off some bullshit and not do much else. He's been on autopilot forever. I also hate that he plays just about every role bald. It's like it's written in his contract "must be bald". "But Mr. Willis, the role you're playing is Steve McQueen. It's a bio pic! You have to wear a wig!" "Who is this prick? Would someone escort his sorry ass off the lot? Sorry babe, I only do things my way. *yawn* Now where's my paycheck?" Oh and that Kevin Smith stuff...I have no doubt that Willis was a douche, but Smith came off as one too when Cop Out came out. I'd say it's a clashing of doucheness. I read a book a few years back that was a collection of his essays, and in it Kevn Smith came off as a total snot. completely disillusioned me about the guy. still dig his movies and I'll be there opening night for Clerks 3, though.

I just want to see this guy in one of these movies someday. Kurt Russell > your favorite 80s action star. "But what about Arnold?" you say? I say "f*** YOU he didn't star in Big Trouble in Little China.

The whole point is that all of them are intentionally drenched in cans of cheese whiz. They were all made expressly to be ridiculous (BTiLC especially).

i dont know how or we can post a Twitter embed on this boards but CMPunk posted: I agree with Punk on that one and would even go one further and say McClane > any Stallone character ever. But saying that, if it's the case that he wanted $4 million for 4 days work then I'm glad he got dropped. This isn't 1990 any more Bruce, you shouldn't be asking for that much money for what is basically an extended cameo.

Also, nearly any Stallone character > any non-McClane Willis character.

Also, nearly any Stallone character > any non-McClane Willis character. Pretty much. Willis lucked out on the one role (which he apparently doesn't like very much I guess, but it makes him money). Willis and Stallone do have one thing in common with a lot of their big roles; pointless sequels. At least both Rambo and Rocky had mostly okay sequels. I hated the last 2 Die Hards...WITH A VENGEANCE.

I think Bruce Willis has played some great non-McClane characters : David Addison (Moonlighting) Joe Hallenbeck (The Last Boy Scout) Butch Coolidge (Pulp Fiction) Captain Sharp (Moonrise Kingdom) Joe (Looper) Cole (Twelve Monkeys) I'm not a big fan of Sin City but his character in that is pretty decent too. The only Stallone character I really like is Ray Tango but that's just my opinion.
