I actually think this guy was a very underrated talent. He had a good look, he was a solid hand in the ring, and he had some mic skills-he was a total package kind of talent. Part of why he ended up as a jobber so often was because he could actually make guys with less talent than him look good. Heck, to take a gimmick like the Disco Inferno and make it last as long as he did alone is proof his abilities-to me at least. I've heard mixed stories about his attitude backstage, some painting him as a jerk and some painting him as a nice guy. And he was actually a lot more diverse than he gets credit for, because he worked just as well as a manager as he did in the ring. I'd put him alongside Brad Armstrong as someone who made good at what he did, but could possibly have been much more.

I remember him having an improbably great physique for someone with that sort of gimmick and with his usual spot on the card, though in hindsight it was probably pretty well enhanced like most 90's builds were.

I think Disco pretty much hit his ceiling but turning a job character into an entertaining weekly run for 5+ years and a run as TV Champion. It was a good career.

I think it's a testiment to just how solid a worker he was. The guy was also MUCH more over than he had any right to be His 2nd TV title win vs Saturn was a really good little match. Did a great job of making Disco look a bit tougher.

Did a really informative shoot interview for RF 10 years ago, didn't know he sat on the WCW booking committee during their demise.

Still doubt he ever mastered that submission move.

I've said before that I think Brad Armstrong could have been a bigger star if he had a tag partner or a manager to do the talking. Maybe Gilberti, minus the disco dancing gimmick, could have made a good partner.

Was it Disco Inferno who was trying to lose weight during an episode of Nitro so he could challenge for the Cruiserweight Title?

if he'd have stayed off the internet i'd have a higher opinion about him, but he went down in my view when he came out with that stupid rant a few years ago about the younger wrestlers coming up, and specifically called out Jimmy Jacobs as a spotmonkey who does nothing but high spots. calling Jimmy Jacobs a high flying spot monkey is like calling The Great Khali a catch-as-catch-can technical wizard

The way I saw Disco was he was a guy every company needs. A Midcard for life guy who is entertaining and over. You don't see a lot of Midcarders who can do that these days.
Disco was very talented though he received a couple of semi pushes but his spot in Midcard always remained. I liked his odd couple tag team with Alex Wright most.

There was a match one time, it Dean Malenko vs. somebody I don't remember who, and during the middle of the match, Disco Inferno just climbed into ring and started dancing for some reason. I think they were setting up a Disco/Malenko feud. But I always found that hilarious. Disco was a good comic relief guy as well as a decent wrestler.
