GB2 has a cool soundtrack for sure, I still enjoy listening to a lot of the tunes on it.

The Titanic scene always creeped me out. I always like it, though the OCD part of me goes nuts over the inaccuracy of the depicted damage to it. As a Titanic enthusiasist, I agree.

The scene that always scared me in this was the heads on the stakes. Still want to know how the movie got a PG rating with that scene.

The scene that always scared me in this was the heads on the stakes. Still want to know how the movie got a PG rating with that scene. I hate that scene. It seems so out of place. In a word where we get actual ghosts running around, suddenly we get something that looks like it belongs in a bad amusement park haunted house ride.

It doesn't seem out of place to me considering the mood slime can probably generate images like that.

The build up to the ghost train scene is sublime.

I always found that scene quite eerie, along with many of Vigo's scenes and the bathtub scene.

With the 30th anniversary of the first movie being next year and GB2 turning 25 as well, wonder if GB2 will finally be released on Blu-ray in a decent edition with some special features? Always wanted a Special Edition of it.

Always wanted a Special Edition of it. I'd love a MST3K-style commentary like they had on the special edition DVD of the first film. That was awesome.

Always wanted a Special Edition of it. It would make sense to release GB2 as an anniversary edition. But Sony has really dropped the ball lately with releasing Blus of their earlier movies. Shoot, we still haven't even gotten a Bad Boys 2 Blu. Shame really, it's been a long time since I've watched GB2 and I would love to own it.

I've still passed on getting the first movie on Blu-ray as I suspect a new edition will be released next year for the anniversary. Would be nice if Sony went all-out with both movies next year.
An MST3K-style commentary would be awesome and I'd love to see featurettes on the ghosts and equipment, and how they created the river of slime.

I forgot to mention before but I also always loved the Slime Blowers. Nothing beats the Proton Packs, but the Slime Blowers were an awesome new addition to the gear. I was thrilled when it was integrated into the pack in the video game.

I'll add my voice to the "love this movie" chorus. Probably because it was almost a "lighter" movie than the first one, and being exposed to them as children, it always endeared myself. The Statue of Liberty walking is almost as big a moment as the arrival of Mr. Stay Puft.
"Dooooooo..." "... Raaaaaaaay..." "... EGOOOOOOOOON!"

I find it's just as quotable as the first, easily.

He also reprised the role in the Ghostbuster's video game from 2009, in between missions you could wander around the firehouse and in one section was the painting of Vigo which you could talk to and he'd say random stuff.

That was a cool little touch, interacting with the Vigo painting in the game and also learning the mood slime's origin.
I think the scene where the river of slime is discovered beneath the city is possibly my favorite in either movie.

Relating to GB2, I came to these neat designs on DeviantArt: Neat rendition of what the complete slime tunnel might've looked like in the above picture, and in the second one supposedly an expansion pack for the video game had been done but for some reason doesn't seem to have seen release.

It was decent; a clear step down from the original, but in no means bad. Most of the positives have already been discussed.
