Although in other Leagues kick-off happened already but The 2013-14 Premier League season gets under way tomorrow. As usual, please do not go too far in badmouthing other teams and fans. As much as I dislike the word, banter is fine. We all know what is going too far, so don't cross the line. Here are the Fantasy League codes for the FAN Leagues at the Official site : linkClassic League : 667554-226848 Head to Head : 667554-226902

Oooo, toughie. I think it will be hard for Man United to retain (of course we have another couple of weeks of the transfer window left) as both Man City and Chelsea have bought very well. I think it will be tight at the top.
Man City Chelsea Man United Spurs/Arsenal (with or without Bale)
Surprise Teams - Southampton, Swansea, Norwich
Relegation scrap
Hull Palace Newcastle (if they don't actually buy anyone) Stoke Sunderland (take a while for all the new players to bed in).
This year I expect no-one below mid-table is going to be safe until March or so.

I may follow the EPL this year, even though my sports plate is pretty full. Still though they are getting better coverage here this year so it may be fun to add another league I know almost nothing about to it. Probably will root for Sunderland and Everton just for the US connections there. I have no idea if that's the equivalent of rooting for the Red Sox and Yankees though. And judging by the initial responses here Sunderland may not be that great...though I hope Altidore does them well.

I'm just hoping NBC doesn't turn their coverage into "Manchester United Game Of The Week" every frickin' Saturday.
(Of course, I'm ready for the season to start and Newcastle...doesn't play until Monday afternoon, when I'll be back at work. But I got it DVRed.)

Have to say I quiet enjoyed the England/Scotland game this week, even if the result didn't go the way I hoped ha
So much better than playing out some boring ass friendly. A competitive, interesting game but one that didn't seem nasty (Couple of meaty challenges but it is still a contact sport currently)

I've seen Sunday games listed as well; one of them being the Tyne-Wear Derby (Newcastle-Sunderland) on 10/27. Opposite the NFL.
(Luckily for them, the Packers play the Sunday Night game that day against Minnesota.)

I've been impressed with Begovic from Stoke. They are going to drop this match today, but he looks like a solid keeper. Would've been huge if Stoke converted the penalty in the 89th minute to get the point.

Stoke really need to let someone else take their penalties.

Aston Villa putting up a heck of a fight, terrible yellow card at the end of the half.

Not sure why anyone was tipping West Ham for relegation this season. Baffling.
