It bugs me and I'm not sure why. I have noticed though, that it seems to be used on FAN 20x more than anywhere else on the internet. "Daniel Bryan is legit pissed at Triple H" Why? Why not use "seriously" or "genuinely" or at least finish the bloody word and say "legitimately". It is often an entirely needless adjective anyway as when most people use it it adds nothing to the sentence. Oh you legit hated Iron Man 3 did you? Thanks for clarifying because I assumed you illegitimately hated it. I'm sorry I needed to vent about that, back to bed I go. In wrestling, it's a term that helps immediately and unambiguously state that you're talking about real-life events and not scripted ones. When you say "seriously" or even "genuinely", people might think you're still talking about their wrestling personas.

I will use the word 'legit' as much I want to and there nothing you can do about it. That's because you can't touch this. We can Pray that good grammar starts Gaining Momentum. I think that it will Help the Children. ... Addams Groove.

"Legit" is a great word. It's a favorite of mine.

I think they prefer to be called little people.

I'm one of the biggest "offenders" of its use on here. I like it/it's just shorthand for me saying legitimately.
Laze, nothing more than that. Hell it's part of the reason Dancing Stevie Richards and HitmanMark became DSR and HMark respectively, cuz U and others began callin em that.
Embrace brevity.

Also, "legit" has a punch to it and aura of seriousness that legitimate does not. "Legit" sounds tougher, cooler, smarter, punchier.
