Toshiaki Kawada used to come to the ring to "Footloose".
Mind, blown.

Best of the WWF Vol. 9 (1986) #031 - Ricky Steamboat defeated WWF IC Champion Randy Savage (w/ Miss Elizabeth) via count-out after Savage failed a bodyslam on the floor, with Steamboat falling on top of him (7/27/86; Toronto, Ontario; Maple Leaf Gardens) - Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik (w/ Slick) defeated the Hart Foundation when Sheik tripped Neidhart, who had Volkoff up for a slam, and Volkoff fell on top for the pin (8/9/86; Boston Garden) - Crpl. - Jimmy Hart won a 22-man $50,000 battle royal when Greg Valentine and the Junkyard Dog eliminated each other at 12:53; Hart spent the entire match hiding underneath the ring; Thanks for that, I was wondering if he had either paid off a wrestler to take the fall for him or maybe one of his stable sacrificed themselves for him but that makes perfect sense for "that little runt" to win a Battle Royal!

Did Bob Backlund really have a submission match against Adam Bomb at Madison Square Garden? That just seems so random. Did they have some kind of feud going on at the time that I've completely forgotten about?

Toshiaki Kawada used to come to the ring to "Footloose". Mind, blown. Well, he was in a tag-team with Hiromichi Fuyuki called "Footloose", so the shoe fits

We remember when ECW invaded WWE. Twice. And when WCW invaded WWE. And when the NWA invaded WWE, Smokey Mountain invaded WWE and WCW and WWE invaded Memphis. But does anyone remember when JCW invaded WCW? www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOPC6Uc6xRI

www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZUloqXdzIIReally, the fact that Cena faced Shelton Benjamin in a dark match isn't surprising. What I didn't know that happened is that some form of rodent died on top of Prototype's head and was half decomposing when this match took place.

I was watching SummerSlam Spectacular 1991 the other night, and Ted DiBiase brought out a hired thug in a mask to wrestle Virgil. The guy looked really familiar to me and was like a zillion times better than Virgil in the ring, but I couldn't place who it was. After Virgil got the pin, I did a quick Google search to find that it was post-Smash pre-Repo Barry Darsow!

Wanna guess who helped DiBiase get the million dollar belt back from Virgil a couple months later?

Ric Flair vs. Buddy Rogers apparently happened on July 9th, 1978. Buddy put Flair over.
