Considering the US doesn't know Rock and Roll Part 2 (The Hey Song) and Joan Jett's Do You Wanna Touch are Glitter songs and are still constantly covered and put in movie soundtracks, this isn't too bad.

I wasn't judging so much as just it being surreal hearing Hulk Perform sort of his signature song.

I assume those three nobodies were grateful that a legend like the Berzeker was willing to share a ring with them?

How about the MTV logo in the corner implying that a programming director was given this and chose to show it anyways? Just awesome.

I found a slightly longer version of the video that's preceded by an interview with Hogan (and Jimmy obviously) talking about it and the top comment is Green Jelly's singer having a quick moment of nostalgia about it. This was on actual TV.

If we're talking about weird wrestler songs, how about the Bret Hart ballad Never Been A Right Time To Say Goodbye. It's like Rick Astley if he just talked through his songs, in fact it was done by the same production studio. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG0syMYs9J8It's from The Wrestlemania Album, which also contains the Michael Jackson-esque Undertaker's The Man In Black. Dance with the Taker. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo1rvx8zRTw

Lanny has sure put on weight since his WWF days. The announcer says he's 220 pounds here. I have my doubts about that, to say the least. Personally, I thought he was in pretty good shape for a 58 year old man, who hasn't regularly wrestled in over 20 years before this match. Definitely not 220 lbs, wikipedia has him listed at 252, which sounds about right. Then again, Jay Lethal is no where near 200lbs in this match, probably 175 to 180. Also, it really shows how much bigger WWF wrestlers from the 80s are compared to guys now. Lanny was definitely one of the smaller guys in the 80s and I bet these days, he would probably be one of the bigger guys.

This is where I (probably shouldn't) admit that I'm a closet Gary Glitter fan. I'm most definitely NOT a fan of Paul Francis Gadd the person, but Gary Glitter did some really good music. Check out this mimed performance with Gary Glitter and the best backup band I've ever seen:

Well he never said he'd be the one doing the beating.

Is there Bret Hart vs. William Regal buried anywhere in the thread? That'd be something.
