I have been thinking about this recently but Dean Ambrose would be/would have been perfect for PWG in style/character, especially with his history of hardcore matches (see last night). Similar to Crowe's and Younger's runs in the company (and his history with Crowe), plus we might have got Rollins vs Ambrose even before FCW then with Rollins being an alumni.

So Candice & Joey are going to be in the UK on the 19th/20th/21st of September, which sucks for me because that's one weekend where I can do any travelling to see them. Can't remember where they are on the 19th (I know it's for Southside though) but on the 20th and 21st they're in London for IPW:UK.

Save me looking back through the thread[/lazy]. I thought I did and was going to put it on the same post. But turns out it had the same image location on the site as the one above, so it just comes as the same image (a few pages back in this thread). I wish I print screened the original and saved it to my computer (for comparison sake), but I had no idea they were going to change it The last one had O'Reilly at the bottom with Candice and Joey above him, but the design was done in a way that it had a pink tribal esc outline/design around all three of them.

So I'm selling my ticket to Night 2 of BOLA. Bought two but my girlfriend couldn't come. So who wants a GA ticket for $45, along with me holding your place in line?

Wishful thinking, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that Myers makes it past AJ. I think he needs this more than anyone else; most of the other guys don't really have anything to prove. He wins the whole thing, that would be cool. He doesn't, oh well, but if he jobs out in the first round, he just looks like a "typical WWE scrub who can't hang with 'real' wrestlers" and that doesn't help his stock at all.

How does losing to the current IWGP Heavyweight champion and someone who is in the top 5 of wrestlers in the world right now make him a "typical WWE scrub who can't hang with real wrestlers"? It'd be different if they paired him against a Trevor Lee and he lost (Not knocking Trevor Lee here) but a loss to AJ is a) the most likely scenario and b) not going to make people think Myers can't hack it. Personally I wouldn't even have had Myers in this tournament. Plenty of other people who deserve the chance in the tournament over Myers.

I'm just really praying for the guy to bounce back and succeed on a major indy stage after pretty much wasting his time in WWE.

The problem I have with this line of thought is that it kinda shits on all the folk who have worked their ass off on the indies whilst Hawkins was busy collecting a paycheck in Stamford.

Trust me, there's no getting through. I'll be there all three nights and if somebody like Curt Hawkins lazys his way through the tournament, I'll make it a point to boo and get everybody around me to boo said former WWE guy if they don't step. It'll push the message that nobody deserves shit and success is earned. He, McIntyre and Sydal are entered in one of Indy wrestling's premiere tournaments. If they stink up the joint, it won't be because they weren't given a chance they "deserve."

Do you think Hawkins wanted to just "collect a paycheck" while sitting at home? I respect those guys who busted their ass on the indies and are now revered by the fanbase but I also want a see a worker like Hawkins earn that same respect. Trust me, there's no getting through. Not once did I say that any of these guys should be handed titles and accolades. I agree that success is earned. But they deserve a chance to earn success. These former WWE talents have spent so much time being booked as scrubs and non-entities that they are now jokes and laughingstocks. Now Myers, and Sydal get to hopefully redeem themselves. I agree with you that they need to step up, but I get the sense that you think either of them "lazying their way through the tournament" is an inevitability and that you want them to fail.

Sydal's already proven in Dragon Gate that he can bring it just like he always has. He's ready to go. McIntyre's also been having great matches since he's started working the indies. I don't know about Hawkins, but I've been told he's always been solid in the ring, and could use a platform the way Trent? needed one to show what he can really do.

I never cared for Trent until PWG, so maybe this will change my perception of McIntyre and Bourne.
Although I like Bourne's shoot interview, he seems likeable. I already want to cheer him on, ha.
