Dreamwave's promoter confirmed on Twitter that ROH have not allowed their contracted talent to appear for them going forward, and he says this is also the case for other indies, especially PWG. Unless ROH are running a weekly schedule, this is freaking lame. ROH better be paying their guys a lot of money cause I don't see that flying for very long.

Unless ROH are running a weekly schedule, this is freaking lame. So Black Cole Sun is going to be the last show with a complete PWG roster, before it gets rebuilt with Cali guys? For f*** sake Elgin! What have you done! So who remains that isn't ROH? Young Bucks will choose PWG and not ROH, I'm sure of it Ricochet Rich Swann Trevor Lee Andrew Everett when he returns AR Fox Uhaa Nation Brian Cage Biff Busick Chris Hero? I am sure he hasn't wrestled for ROH in recent months Candice Joey Gargano Taylor Willie Mack if he returns? Trent? ZSJ part time Chris Sabin? Still a good roster but nothing compared to what it was like with "ROH guys" in. Cole, O'Reilly, Strong and ACH all have such important and influential places on the roster, especially after cornerstones of the company leaving in Zayn/Owens/Davey/Eddie/Drake/Crowe etc all leaving in the past couple of years. Maybe they could finally bring back SSB The only positive I can see is it may save them money for flying talents in/the cost of top tier indy guys (the one's signed with ROH most of them). But this harms their proud reputation of putting on supercards you can't see anywhere else each and every show. And this all but confirms Ricochet is winning the title/WCTT retaining at Black Cole Sun right?

It think it's only the contracted guys that will be affected. So like Elgin, Ciampa, O'Reilly, Fish, Cole, ACH, and Alexander.
Strong's a freelancer, and the Bucks are contracted to New Japan, so it's not all doom and gloom.

That was where my thoughts immediately went when I first heard about it. Everyone affected by this boneheaded decision had better be compensated handsomely for it. We don't need another TNA.

This pretty much cements Ricochet winning the PWG Title, given he's dropped the Freedom Gate, and Lucha Underground are seemingly cool with their guys working PWG if they don't clash. Besides, Dragon and Excalibur should have a good idea of LU's schedule now, and book their shows on spare weekends.
That's the only main issue from what I see, as I don't think The Addiction have ROH contracts. The rest of the card is largely WWN/other guys.

Well last time they did something like that a lot of guys didn't re-up and ROH had to restructure how their contracts were written

Doubt the Bucks will go anywhere, don't they own a third of the company?

Doubt the Bucks will go anywhere, don't they own a third of the company? The Bucks are not under ROH contract, and knowing them, they'd give up ROH in a heart beat to stay with PWG. As for ROH contracts, I don't know how they're structured now but I know the old ones were good for guys trying to get established but sucked for established workers

Tommaso Ciampa tweeted that he's taking bookings for 2015. I think he's under ROH contract...

Way to go, ROH. You just gave a large part of the independent wrestling fan base another reason to choose NOT to support you.

So it could be the case where Adam Cole or Kyle O'Reilly ask ROH if it's OK to work PWG on a certain date, and it's on ROH to approve their request or deny it. Seems more likely that in the Dreamwave case, when they wanted Michael Elgin for December 6th, ROH told them no, as it's the day before Final Battle, and ROH would likely need him for pre-tapes.

Ah so nowhere near as bad as I first thought then, I just hope they are exxtremely liberal with allowing PWG to book Cole/O'Reilly/ACH. I am a massive mark for all three of them and as I said before all three individually are massively influential parts of the roster. Maybe Ricochet winning isn't a certainty then.....

Here's where things get interesting - Michael Elgin was pulled from the St. Louis Anarchy card on December 5th. Yet Kyle O'Reilly remains on the show. Appears ROH is allowing some bookings but not others, even for the same show.

Also, dear Brian Cage. Please stop before you kill your self. If his neck wasn't as thick as a tree trunk I shudder to think what would have happened to him. Cage is awesome and pretty underrated, but man do I fear for his safety every match he's in. The Cage/Uhaa match had my favorite commentary line of the evening, from Rick Knox no less: "You know, it must feel good for Brian to get his spots in and have the crowd respond like that." Something about that made me laugh so hard, maybe the way Knox deadpanned it. Rousey was adorable during the first match. This brutal killing machine was wincing and putting her hand to her heart whenver Ciampa or Busick did a move. I love how the Bucks only sell for dick shots. As Chuckie T said, "They are cartoon characters." Great show. The crowd is always a little dead for O'Reilly's main events because he's not the flashiest, but the dude is the real deal and a worthy champion.

So pretty much like I said a page or two back. ROH will be exerting more control thanks to Elgin, probably only affect Cole and reDRagon (as team not singles), maybe Elgin if they ever trust him again.

As ROH champion, he lost clean to Trevor Lee in the first round of this year's BOLA. That's it.
