before he could get all the way into his set, and Dave Chappelle walked out. Next time, don't heckle him & egg him on to do old material he dislikes Hartford.

Geez. I don't know understand why you would buy tickets for something like that only to heckle the dude. My sister is going to the show in So Cal and I hope the same doesn't happen there.

Terrible. Dave Chapppelle deserves better than that.

@pattonoswalt I was there, people were hardly heckling him. Just yelling that they loved him and quoting older material
Somebody just tweeted that at Patton when he took that audience to task for ruining Chappelle's show.
Are people that stupid? I'm sure he's familiar with his old material, what with it BEING HIS OLD MATERIAL and all.
How about you shut up and let the man do what you paid to watch him do?
Would you go to a friggin' Foo Fighters concert and scream out the lyrics to "My Hero" any time Dave Grohl tried to start a song? No, because that's preposterous and incredibly disrespectful, so why would anybody think it's okay during a stand-up gig?

That crowd was beyond disrespectful. I hate it when those kinds of assholes feel the need to make themselves part of the show when they should just sit back and let him do what he does best.
Hope he has better crowds elsewhere.

I don't know why people insist on doing this. It's not like comedians make a habit of doing their "hits"
Are people still hung up on the fact that he gave up a lot of money? Who cares? It's not like he handpicked Carlos Mencia to replace him on Comedy Central or anything.

Pft, if those people wanted to see Dave Chappelle's "old material" so badly then go buy one of his DVD's.

And that's exactly why they do it in the first place, because they know it'll get that kind of reaction from him. Please people, stand-up is all the guy has left (as I'm sure he doesn't want to do anything TV/movie related again, or at least for a long time). Don't make him quit that too because you want to, as we put it in wrestling terms, "get yourself over".

I'll never get this.
A show I was at Wed. some lady just kept talking to Geoff Tate. Wasn't heckling, just like agreeing with jokes and not shutting up.
He ripped her apart for 10 minutes then his time was up. He apologized for not being funny and told everyone to give her dirty looks as she left. She was crying in the parking lot.
But Chappelle is probably over that shit. I'd just leave too.

There are some comedians out there who are ok with people wanting to hear "the hits", so to speak.
Thing is, Chappelle Show was SO popular, SO well known, that it isn't like he'd gain anything by going over old material that everybody already knows.
Plus, people just interrupting shows sucks, period. It's performance art, allow the damn performance to happen.

Wow, Dave Chappelle really likes walking out......
Also, he walked away from a popular show that a lot of people loved, and then disappeared. So even we likers have some catching up to do in voicing our displeasure with him about that.
