I had to leave the steam group because I have IRL friends on there and don't want them finding this forum

I got Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad earlier. Really enjoying it so far, captures the franticness of WW2 battles rather well, and the fact that it's pretty much one shot and you die really makes you think more tactically.
And the Morale meter's a nice touch. Charging a Soviet held building, and one of my squadmates got his legs blown of by a grenade, and I could only watch as he crawled away and got shot by machine gun fire. Whole screen was black and white, shaking and my character couldn't hit anything due to his hands shaking.
I avenged poor Hans eventually though!

He has the looks of Andre the Giant, and the strength of Barry Windham. Not to mention he's a hero to a few armadillos, a kangaroo and a small herd of bison.

So has anyone picked up the Gauntlet remake yet? Was thinking about it just wondering if anyone has some first hand time with it.
Obviously loved the original and hope it stays true to form of that instead of just being Gauntlet in name only.

I have not, but the reviews I've read seem to agree that it's very faithful to the spirit of the original.

Oh. My. Goodness. I'm hearing the German combat music and I'm imagining communist humans fighting Nazi batarians. And it totally fits.

I was tempted, but I have like 6 friends on steam and so chances of finding anyone to play with would be slim

It does have a good soundtrack when you can hear it over the cries of "SCHNELL, SCHNELL!" and artillery whistling down whilst you get pinned down by an MG nest and you're quivering behind a wall that's rapidly disintegrating. War is hell maaaaaaan.

Kinda in the vain of Star Wars Battlefront II's campaign.

I have one friend who is my brother but I added him so long ago that I have no idea how to add friends on Steam.

Ok another duplicate to give away:
The Cat Lady.
I can't recommend this game enough, it's a really dark and bleak sidescrolling point and click adventure game that studies the human psyche and depression.
First come first served, quote me here (so others can see it has been claimed) and I will PM you.

I also have The Bridge, no one claimed that last time so if someone wants The Bridge as well as The Cat Lady then I don't mind them taking both Let me just second that on the Cat Lady. Definitely recommend to everyone to give this a try eventually. I'd take The Bridge but I got so many damn backlogged games right now, at this point it would just be to make my games owned number bigger at this point.

Binding of Isacc's 59p today (I think that's about 99 cents?), I'd definitely recommend it for that price! All the Total War games bar Rome II are on sale too. Highly recommend 'em as well.

I bought Batman Arkham Origins in the recent Warner sale given I loved the 2 Rocksteady Arkham games, and I'm actually quite annoyed at a game for once in my recent memory, not due to the looser fighting controls/reactions/bugginess (not that big of a deal) or repeated ideas/dull story, but because I clipped through a floor whilst walking through a door in the game and this happened: ...I assumed it was a silly odd Arkham issue, the other games had moments where you'd get stuck on pipes and such, just requires a reload from the last checkpoint... ...okay, I'll wait 20 minutes and see if I fall through the bottom level of the insane broken game world and respawn somewhere in the actual city... ...still waiting... ...this isn't going to work out, is it, Bats? 15 hours of doing the side missions and getting my money out of the main game! Gone! There's only a "continue from checkpoint" option for each profile you make, no multiple quick saves or levels to jump to if something goes wrong! I knew the game had more issues than the FANTASTIC City/Asylum games in technical terms but christ, what a waste of time.

Same thing happened to me, but I was right at the start of the game, so it was nowhere near as bad. I do hope that Arkham Knight is still alright seeing as it's Rocksteady.
