But the alternative is RVD as World Champion. Which would lead to Sandow cashing in MITB on him. Silver linings. Seriously, WHC Sandow is a billion times more intesting that Del Rio. Hell even if he has a long reign and a wheel of aggresion, at least he's fun to listen to and watch in the ring.

That said, a short RVD reign transitioning to Damien winning the World Title would be very much worth it.

Yeah I think RVD would only get the belt from say Night of Champions until maybe HIAC. That's a perfect match to have him barely retain but be decimated, allowing Sandow to cash in. Who exactly would Sandow even face as champ? Right now he's not believable beating, well, anyone. Aside from RVD? Nobody, really. I mean, you've got plenty of contenders on Raw, but on SmackDown? Not so much.

If a dude crushes my head with the steel stairs no way in hell am I joining back up with him, so by wrestling logic Ricardo probably will and Kane will join the Wyatt's as well. Maybe their wires will get crossed, and Ricardo joins the Wyatts while Kane dons a gold suit and mask and joins Del Rio, so he can learn how to be "aggressive" again.

Plus I kind of hope RVD wins only because I'm hoping the WWE realizes that Alberto isn't that ME guy you want him too be. I agree, even as someone who thinks Del Rio is underrated here. But at the same time, I'd like Del Rio and Ricardo back together so they can compete in the tag division.

It's obvious. Ricardo may as well announce his eventual intentions during RVD's ring introduction.
This storyline is awful. RVD's momentum has been derailed. All because of feuding with Alboreto.
WWE, please free RVD of this terrible feud. Just let him feud with Dolph

I kind of want a swerve where Ricardo is a mole for del Rio, but actually a mole for Sandow and no matter which of the two wins Ricardo's job is to make sure that person can barely stand up by the time the match is done.

I had this same exact thought the moment Ricardo aligned with RVD. Sure it seems silly, since Del Rio annihilated Ricardo, but crazier things have been done before. I mean if HHH and Austin could join forces...

I think Ricardo is secretly working with Sandow and will help him cash in. ...that would actually be a really clever idea. A personal ring announcer would work with Sandow's gimmick.
