I remember it was a pretty big deal for a while, and that they did some shows, but I can't recall hearing anything about it in the past year or so.

As far as I'm aware the show did good ratings however the network it was on decided not to renew it. Acually I think they got the go ahead for a second season however the rug was pulled out before anything gained traction. Could be wrong though.

Ring Ka King. I find it funny that even though they haven't updated their Twitter since Feburary 12 2012, Scott Steiner is seen all over it even though he is suing TNA now.

I heard newz that Hogan and Bischoff wanted it axed because they didn't want a tna run show that wasn't under their control to be successful, and make them two look bad.

The company paying for Ra Ka King, Endemol, decided to get out of the pro wrestling biz.

I guess the owners of Endemol don't have any daughters involved with Ring Ka King.

The Colors Network didn't renew it, but Jeff Jarrett is still working to try and get it picked up by another station over there if reports are to be believed. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Steiner was right about Hogan and Bischoff actively trying to undermine it because it's Jarrett and Borash's brainchild rather than theirs.
It's a shame that it wasn't more successful, I do feel the format had legs and could easily have been a good thing for international wrestling had Endemol applied their usual strategy to it and launched a dozen or so international versions featuring talent from the indy scene of the nation it's been localised for. It could have provided a lot of people with their first big break and given bigger name indy talent and former TNA and WWE guys another place to work and get TV exposure.

All I remember from Ring Ka King was Steiner chasing fans. That was brilliant.

I swear, Ring Ka King was the best thing they've done in 2 years. And I didn't understand one thing that was going on.

it might come back, if it was successful, which it seems it was, then I'm sure someone will give it a shot. Or TNA could have scraped it as a cost cutting measure

I heard newz that Hogan and Bischoff wanted it axed because they didn't want a tna run show that wasn't under their control to be successful, and make them two look bad. One time I saw Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me. .....I really can't help but go for that Ralphism whenever I see 2 people who can be made fun of doing something that should be made fun of.

Or TNA could have scraped it as a cost cutting measure Ra Ka King returning is very slim considering Edemol and COLORS are not going to be providing funds for it. That means unless TNA finds someone else to fund it and a network in India to air the show, it's joining Wrestling Society X in the scarp heap of failed, critically acclaimed wrestling shows.

Wrestling Society X critically acclaimed? By wrestling fans, yes. not really... NO one really liked it. The people who did, liked it because it was bad. Lets be realistic here

not really... NO one really liked it. The people who did, liked it because it was bad. Lets be realistic here I liked the show for the wrestling action and different variety of characters. So did a number of people. If some people liked it for it being bad, that's one them. But to say no one really liked is seriously wrong. That would be like the same as saying the only reason why people watch TNA is because it's bad. Not true is the slightest.

Sanjay Dutt was busted for being on the juice. he was their cultural inroad so when he couldn't perform, it flopped.
