Yeah, this flick may end up not being great, but it's not the style of movie that I'd look to critical reviews for since it's not likely aspiring toward high art, to put it mildly. If fans (be it fans of the comics, any of the cartoon iterations, whatever) say they enjoyed it, that perks my ears a bit more. No matter what, there isn't a way on this Earth that it can be worse than The Last Airbender. Nothing will ever be worse than The Last Airbender. Nothing. Plus, given the absolute dreck that is the third Ninja Turtles film, it can probably at least secure 3rd place for live action films.

As I said before, we've got the 1990 original. That's all we really need. Elias Koteas FTW.

I...kind of loved this for what it was, actually. Maybe it's because I got a contact high from my 6-year-old nephew, who was having a blast the entire film, but this was 90 minutes of just action and fun that I don't feel the least bit guilty about. I couldn't possibly care less about how the turtles looked, or what their origins were, or the fact that Megan Fox was April O'Neil. I came out of the theater feeling like I got my money's worth, relative to what I expected going in. I had a blast.

Saw it, loved it. Gonna see it again soon. You'd watch 90 minutes of a mayo jar if bay's name was stamped on it somewhere!!! ...ok, that was uncalled for. But still! Couldn't be any worse than Armageddon.

Never say that my friend because Hollywood can and will make a worse movie from a already good franchise for example like the Sonic Live action movie that's coming in 2016

I don't see how that can work.

It was exactly what I was expecting, which is a hollow reinvention without any of the heart or charm found in previous incarnations. Not a horrible movie, but it misses the mark for the Turtles franchise by quite a bit.

Got back from seeing it with a group of friends. Wasn't as bad as I was dreading. Even saw it in 3D. I didn't like how many times they used slow motion, or the suddenness of April being tied into the Turtles backstory, and Megan Fox while not terrible wasn't good acting in this either.
But the action and fight scenes were good, Michaelangelo and Verne were hilarious, Raph was awesome, and no one was Flanderized like people were afraid of. The Turtles and Splinter had their personalities intact. Hopefully, if there's a sequel it also be surprisingly decent.
Really wish they'd put Irma in though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do use Irma at one point, assuming this movie sparks a line of sequels.

I went in with incredibly low expectations. I expected to and kind of wanted to hate the movie, but I ended up really enjoying it. It isn't a great movie, but it's fun and enjoyable. There are way worse ways to spend 2 hours. Human stuff was kind of boring, but the turtles were pretty well done. Overall 7/10 for me. Mostly just for the turtles and their interactions with each other.

One thing that pissed me off from the reviews... {Spoiler} Apparently, there is no Hamato Yoshi. At all. Everyone was created by O'Neil's dad. This borders on "Maleficent invented..." bad. Next you'll tell us that April O'Neil irradiated the spider that bit Peter Parker. Or April O'Neil sent Kal-El to Earth when Krypton exploded. Or April O'Neil killed Thomas and Martha Wayne...

That has been their background in at least one iteration anyway. So This movie didn't hoe that road.
