That moment when you think.."should we fix this...nah it will be fine"

"As if there are any words some people might take the wrong way, what could possibly go wrong? Now after you finish printing those bottles, let's go juggle those chainsaws we talked about."

I was just thinking the other day when I opened up my fortune cookie that I would personally laugh my ass off if I got a fortune saying "f*** you". I'd have the same reaction if I got this bottle cap.

I thought this was Vietnam water cap and wondered what that was.

Man, I drink that water all the time and it's never insulted me.

How the f*** does THAT happen? They managed to, at random, pick the most insulting word they could for a select family and then arbitrarily sell VW containing said word to that specifically select family. I damn near feel sorry for Vitamin Water for having that kind of luck. Then I remember that it wouldn't have happened if they'd just changed the word.

I first thought this said Vietnam, then I was wondering what "Vitamen" were, and then finally thought "Oh, vitamin".

I'm half tempted to buy some Vitamin Water just to see if I can get this message. I mean, these phrases have to be massed produced, right. So the same phrases would repeat.
So really, this article has had the exact opposite effect to what its intention was.

Yea, that word is thrown around way to often, even here on this forum. It belongs in the class of racist & homophobic slurs, but people seem to think it's ok to use. I've heard homosexuals & minorities use the word, & I think really? Hypocritical much?

To each their own. I'm speaking on more general terms though rather than just this story.

I don't see all the hubbub...my food products call me names all the time. Once I inadvertantly let tuna casserole leftovers sit in the back of the fridge for a while. When I finally took the time to notice it, not only had it formed its own society and totalitarian government, but it also started calling me a decadent capitalist pig.

The cap is clear, if you hold the bottle at an angle, you can read the message. I absolutely understand the anger regarding it but at the same time it's like people (not necessarily this family) will buy something with an offensive message to see what they can be compensated with.

Okay. I don't want to be insensitive, but I got a good laugh out of this.
I love angry caps.

I just wonder what the level of outrage would be if the cap said You <racist slur> or You <homophobic slur> instead. Actually, no I don't, I already know the answer to that.
