Goto/Shibata totally winning that tag thing. Shibata deserves better though. I hope at next year's G1 we will finally see Shibata/AJ (and AJ/Nakamura for that matter)
also Styles vs Naito should be in for Tokyo Dome show. The pair had a kickass match at G1 (Meltzer gave it ****1/2)

Thinking about it more, the only way I see Goto and Shibata not winning is if they have the Dudley Boys for the Tokyo Dome. In that case they could have Gallows and Anderson repeat, but I'm not sure how likely that whole scenario is.

First trailer for "GFW presents New Japan Pro Wrestling's WrestleKingdom 9".
I've been out of the NJPW scene since the G1 Climax ended, anyone got a summary of the past 3 months?

Gonna be ordering the NJPW PPV with my WWE friends, and you have no idea how excited I am that that's happening.

I'm curious to hear Jim Ross' reaction to guys like Okada and Tanahashi. Hearing Jim Ross call an AJ Styles match will also be surreal.
I'm going to LOL hard when Good Ole JR tries to call the Superkick Party!~

Here's the match card for WK9 so far:
IWGP Heavyweight Championship Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kazuchika Okada
IWGP Intercontinental Championship Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kota Ibushi
IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship Ryusuke Taguchi vs Kenny Omega
IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships reDRagon vs Forever Hooligans vs Time Splitters vs The Young Bucks

Also, GFW is looking at Mike Tenay to do color commentary for the show with JR.

According to Meltzer, they're also going to be doing Fale & Jarrett vs Yoshi Tatsu & Honma.

According to Meltzer, they're also going to be doing Fale & Jarrett vs Yoshi Tatsu & Honma. I was hoping Jarrett would be used in a managerial role in order to give someone like Fale more heel heat. Oh, well. It's all good so long as I get to hear JR scream, "Yoshitatsu makes the tag! BAH GAWD! HONMA IS A HOUSE OF FIRE!" IF that match and AJ/Naito is announced, then that brings the total number of matches to eight. I'm thinking they book Yano/Iizuka with a hardcore stip, which would make nine. I wonder how many matches they plan to book for the actual PPV feed?

Mike Tenay could actually be a good choice if he just has to call the action like he did long ago and not be a "sports entertainment" play by play guy. I'd be interested to see if a JR/Tenay team could gel. Thinking about JR calling a Young Bucks match, I really want to see the Meltzer Driver at Wrestle Kingdom now just to hear that call.

One of the Bucks (Matt?) tweeted that he couldn't wait for JR to call the Meltzer Driver...so hopefully it happens.

Is Tenay not with TNA anymore? I think the rumors are that his contract is up within the next few weeks. Although with the other rumors of TNA having a new tv deal in place, he could easily be re-signed before January.
