Seriously, are they going to have Shibata and Goto lose every dang match? They should be the ones who win it. Enough Gedo and Jado, what happened in the past was ten years ago, move on like Tanahashi and others have. Even Hashi and Honma have gotten wins.

Seriously, are they going to have Shibata and Goto lose every dang match? They should've been the wins who win it. Enough Gedo and Jado, what happened in the past was ten years ago, move on like Tanahashi and others have. Even Hashi and Honma have gotten wins. One of the most common ways to book bigger name(s) in these tournaments is to have them lose a bunch early on and then win out. Remember that the top two teams in each block advance, Goto and Shibata don't need a particularly great overall record in order to be positioned to win the tournament

By the look of it, it looks like TenKoji and Guns/Gallows are advancing from Block A and K.E.S. and either Great Bash Heel or hopefully Meiyu Tag who finally won today from Block B.

Apparently the most ugly of all the Styles Clashes happened when AJ tried using it on Kojima. After that mess, that move is toast.
Kojima's lucky as that could have flat out killed him.

So NJPW has officially announced the NJPW World streaming service. Someone on twitter, who regularly translates puro stuff live tweeted the press conference. "Breaking news njpwworld is live streaming service like WWE network. It costs 999 yen!" "Kidani (Bushiroad exc I believe): I am really glad. NJPW is No.2 in this business. We imitate WWE. Match itself is No.1. We will be No.1" "There will be live, old videos for 45 years, and a lots of original contents on #njpwworld. Only 999 yen!" "You can watch WK9 live on #njpwworld! Wow! And all Korakuen shows including Fantasticamania will be live! Amazing!" "You can watch all videos of all NJPW including Hogan vs Inoki, and Great Muta matchs on #njpwworld for only 999 yen!" "Kidani said we want to get 100 thousands subscribers. We want to reach overseas as well." The website is njpwworld.com Looking around (I haven't signed up, no clue what credit cards are usable) it appears to be most similar to youtube, with the focus being on able to search individual wrestlers/matches. Looks like the first new show available will be the finals of the World Tag League.

Awesome. This is only for Japan for now though right? Since the price is in yen and all. Excited to see them say they want to reach overseas and hopefully there'll be some English accessibility eventually.

Just convert the price from yen to the currency you use to price it.

I wasn't going to look into it in order to keep myself from signing up for another monthly streaming service RIGHT after finally starting the WWE Network . I think I'm still gonna hold off until it gets more established. Thats really cool though.

Has anyone here signed up for it yet? I'm considering it but would really like to hear an experience/opinion or two first.

Has anyone here signed up for it yet? I'm considering it but would really like to hear an experience/opinion or two first. I have, Really enjoyed it. The content is broken up into shows which then allow you to select matches. Older music and Older wrestler's themes are copyrighted so you'll get cut entrances and silence when say Tenzan wins. Quality is good, and there is a LQ option as well. Stuff is down right now though, At least for me, getting a reproduction error. Going to try again in an hour.

So Gallows and Anderson are almost a lock for the semis, Shibata and Goto need a lot to happen Friday if they want to have a chance at making it.
A shame though, I was hoping Fale would give Bennett the Bad Luck Fall.

About New Japan's streaming service, is there a way to convert that page into English? People have been using the Google Translate extension. That's what I use. It isn't perfect - "Bad Luck Fale" is translated to "Bad Rack Whare'" for example - but it works. I mentioned this in the other thread, but it bares repeating: The videos play fine in iOS, but an app is needed for Android. Unfortunately, said app is unavailable outside of Japan.

I've looked and came to the conclusion that tomorow's event in block A Both BC teams, Sombra/Naito, TenKoji, and Okada/HASHI can make it due to wins and points over other teams. While in Block B Suzuki/Lizuka, Chaos, K.E.S., Blue Justice, and Meiya Tag can make the semis.
G.B.H., Yano/Sakuraba, Fale/Tonga, Taven/Bennett, NWA, thanks for playing.
