Given the current standings, I REAAAALLLY hope this year's Tag League isn't just another excuse to have KES vs TenKoji AGAIN. When you tag with YOSHI-HASHI, you get what you pay for.

Also hope it's not KES/TenKoji again, but it won't be Devitt/Fale, unless Devitt wrestles twice since he already has Ibushi & Fale is most likely gonna face Makabe in some capacity.

I feel stupid for not thinking of that before. I believe my original call was Makabe/Honma, and I cannot tell you why I ever thought that was a good prediction.

In case you're wondering why Tanahashi and CNJ have a win...it's because of this. yottsume @puro_yottsume Captain New Japan pinned Prince Devitt with a sunset flip in an official #njwtl match just now at tonight's Okayama show. #njpw #spoiler HE DID IT!!!!

I'm calling it now, we get Bullet Club vs Suzuki-gun at the Dome. Anderson and Gallows are my pick to win the league and will then go on to face Archer and Smith at Wrestle Kingdom. That frees up Makabe to go to battle with Fale and we don't get the extremely stale KES vs TenKoji match.
If this goes down, and Bullet Club win at the dome, I wonder how long Anderson and Gallows hold the gold for. Karl Anderson might wind up being one of the winningest tag team wrestlers of all time at this rate.

It's probable that Kojima will wrestle Conway again for the NWA title at the Tokyo Dome, so we're probably safe from a TenKoji win. Gallows and Anderson do indeed seem to be the most logical winners.
Glad to see NJPW seems serious about Gallows, I believe he got all of the pin falls for the team and Anderson was pinned in their losses. It's a shame WWE and TNA let him go and I really want to see what he can do in a name brand promotion.

Shocked that the IC Title match won the main event vote. No confidence in Naito, and to a lesser extent, Okada. It'll be a good show, but nowhere near the 2013 Tokyo Dome show, and there's quite the few matches on there I'm expecting to either suck or be totally flat.

It won?! Ah man, I hope that doesn't reflect badly on Okada; dude's already main-evented a Wrestle Kingdom and has basically proven he's a good level of draw.
I wonder who Yano's partner will be...

I wonder if this will lead to them scrapping the whole G1 Climax winner getting the Tokyo Dome title shot idea.

Who in the Hell thought putting the second-tier title match, and a matchup done like a dozen times in the past over the world title match was a good idea?

Who in the Hell thought putting the second-tier title match, and a matchup done like a dozen times in the past over the world title match was a good idea? The fans did. The fan vote was a near 2:1 margin so you can attribute that to a poor buildup of Naito/the fans aren't buying Naito as the #1 contender or a legitimate threat to Okada. Also as far as Okada goes, I think he's fine. He already main evented last year's event, plus won a great series with Tanahashi. I would probably blame this one on Naito.

Naito lost a LOT of steam with that injury. I would have honestly waited another year or so and built Naito up with some big wins. I know the general feeling is that Naito is supposed to be the next generation Mutoh, but build up is still necessary.
