AJ's likely winning since they got that coshow events with ROH coming up in May. Should be a fantastic match though and I'm looking forward to it. First ever meeting between the two.

First ever meeting between the two. i remember AJ facing Naito & Ibushi at one of destruction shows. they had great sequence which had good crowd heat. ya i don't see AJ losing the belt atleast until KOPW.

they must have hell of faith in AJ Styles now. On top of him having go over Okada & Tanahashi multiple times clean, he's also won IWGP world title twice and now he's main eventing one of their big ppvs.
Here's the card (and predictions) ======================================== * Yuji Nagata, Captain New Japan, Kushida, Alex Shelley & Yohei Komatsu vs. Manabu Nakanishi, Jushin Liger, Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi & Sho Tanaka - Taguchi def. Komtasu
* Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Tomoaki Honma vs. Yuji Takahashi, Tama Tonga & Cody Hall - Tenzan def. Hall
* IWGP Jr. Tag Title Match: Champions Young Bucks vs. Rocky Romero & Trent Baretta - Bucks def. Barretta
* IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title Match: Champion Kenny Omega vs. Mascara Dorada - Omega def. Dorada
* IWGP Tag Team Title Match: Champions Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs. Michael Bennett & Matt Taven w/Maria Kanellis - KA & DC def. Bennett & Taven - they have so many internal talents (even the super fun Shibata/Honma), and they can only find these two? don't be surprised if the crowd is completely dead for this match
* Togi Makabe, Hirooki Goto & Tetsuya Naito vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Tomohiro Ishii & Yoshi-Hashi - Naito def. YOSHI-HASHI - hope Nakamura starts some feud here with Naito or Goto. He's been doing nothing since the feud with Ibushi
* Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Toru Yano & Kazushi Sakuraba - Yano def. Tanahashi
* Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Luck Fale - Okada def. Fale
* IWGP heavyweight Title Match: Champion A.J. Styles vs. Kota Ibushi - AJ Styles def. Ibushi

In the case of The Kingdom in New Japan, I'm assuming that they just wanted some extra ROH presence there and Bennett/Taven are two guys that could use the exposure and the experience in working Guns and Gallows. It will be weird in that both are highly western heel teams that use the same tactics.
I think Guns and Gallows vs The Briscoe Brothers would be the better tag match personally.

I'm guessing ROH doesn't want Jay missing a tv taping to go to Japan. Besides, Anderson/Gallows vs The Briscoes happened already last year.

If NJPW wants ROH talent, then why don't they go for guys like Cedric, ACH, or Sydal once his leg is better? The Junior Division needs fresh new faces and they'd fit in perfectly.

If Ibushi DID win the title, how do you see his run going?

I dislike Bennett as much as the next guy but him and Taven are a pretty decent heel team and the gimmick is running well in ROH, they're fine for a big but not huge New Japan show as IWGP Tag Challengers.

Yeah, Kenny may be part of the ROH/NJPW coshows since they are being held in Canada, it might be setting up one of them going to New Japan for The BOSJ.

With the ROH/NJPW link, I'm surprised we haven't seen Omega in ROH. That needs to happen on a regular basis. I could actually see Omega being the Bullet Club representative to bring the ROH world title to Bullet Club.
Also, I want Bullet Cub to cut a West Side Story promo at Mascara Dorada where they snap at him and tell him to stay out of Tokyo.

Could somebody please give me a brief run down of the heel/face alignment of the top guys in New Japan and who's switched back and forth over the past few years? Obviously The Bullet Club goes without saying but other than that there seems to be alot of shades of gray compared to other countries, which I like, feels more like MMA to me. Thanks in advance.

The only real heels are Bullet Club, Suzuki-gun, and the NWA guys. Chaos started out as heels but they're pretty much all babyfaces at this point. Unless I'm blanking, the most recent turns are the formation of Bullet Club in 2013, Yujiro Takahashi turning on Okada/Chaos and joining Bullet Club and Takashi Iizuka turning on Yano/Chaos and joining Suzuki-gun, both of which happened last spring.

Thanks for the info man, so when did Okada officially become a face? I know when he came back and won the title he was heel, in the Axs shows he seems to be getting face reactions but at Wrestlekingdom this year I assumed he was the heel but since then he seems to be a face.

It was announced that on 4/11, Taichi will defend The GHC Junior Title against Taiji Ishimori and El Desperado and Taka will face former Junior Tag Champions Kenou and Hajime Ohara.
Marufuji will get his rematch against Suzuki on 5/10. Suzukigun has also alluded to a new member joining the faction.
