Kofi, your career has reached a point of such stagnation that the only entertainment you seem to give is in people watching you lose and being the source of overused message board memes. Your thoughts?

I want to say yes, it's wrong...
...but I enjoy watching Zack Ryder suffer, so who am I to judge?

Nah, it isn't real. It's like watching a hated villain get his comeuppance or laughing at the expense of a loser getting taken down even more in fiction, Kofi the real person isn't getting messed up, so it's ok. Being Punk's buddy, he's got it made.

I absolutely hated Kofi in ECW, and since with his constant pushes & title reigns I've grown apathetic to him. As I can't bother to hate the guy anymore, I know he's still going to linger like a bad odor.
So no, you aren't alone. I've enjoyed watching him get crushed too.

Nope.
I enjoy seeing him get beat up and lose too. Can't stand him. He's one of the most worthless guys on the roster yet continues to get title runs for some reason.

I don't hate him, but he's got several problems: 1) No character evolution or actual point to him being there in kayfabe terms 2) Outside of the SOS & Trouble in Paradise all of his offence is ridiculously crap as far as looking like it hurts and again, much like his character, it's not changed in actual years 3) His mic work has always been bad. Not average. Very bad. If he's personally happy about his spot in the WWE (fall guy who sells for everyone upper midcard/main event, which he does well) then no shame, him being the guard of the midcard is fine, but he hasn't shown why he should be considered as a future main eventer, nor has he been afforded that opportunity for years. He's not bad but he's dull (akin to Christian, but Christian has great matches with 90% of the roster so he's more worthy of his perma-midcard king status), and other up and coming midcard guys either have more upside or are just outright better in every area. Seriously, any complaints one had about Morrson can be applied to Kofi tenfold. I'd trade Kofi for JoMo in a heartbeat.

I like seeing him get his butt kicked, and I might even boo him next time I see him live.
Guy rubs me the wrong way.

Me on the other hand...
I can't remember a single time where I was wathcing wrestling and got emotionally invested to the point where my disbelief was suspended and I forgot it wasn't real and sat there completely emotionally involved than
The time Ryback was putting him through many tables. I got so upset I was sitting there really upset at what I was watching.
Because I love Kofi that much.
I also love Kofi so much that I'm sitting here fuming at the contents of this thread. Im so angry that anyone could hate my beloved Kofi, could change the channel when my beloved Kofi's music hits. I'm filled with venomous anger and hatred for you all right now though that might because I'm angry about some other things from real life and directing it.

I liked Kofi until it started getting to the point where he was pretty much the only midcard face that exists.
What sours me on Kofi is that he's in this weird middle spot where he isn't good enough to be pushed further than he is, but is put on a pedestal above every other midcard face except for guys like Miz, Ziggler, Christian, and RVD who presentation-wise are more along the lines of "lower main eventers" rather than true midcarders. Kofi's current position prevents other midcard faces from being elevated to any semblance of credibilty and relevance. Even the other midcard faces involved in this Bryan/Corporation feud are treated like bitches. He wins the midcard titles over and over again and no other faces gets an opportunity.
While Kofi may be better at one or more aspects than guys like Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Zack Ryder, R-Truth, Yoshi Tatsu, Alex Riley, or Santino Marella, ALL of them should be pushed to his level just to create the appearance of a deeper roster.

I think he should be in a feud with Dolph Ziggler. That's a fresh pairing and I believe they could have plenty of great matches together.

I respect him as a talent, but it just upsets me so much that other deserving guys are made out to look like total scrubs or rendered into complete non-entities while Kofi gets midcard title shots or gets to be the JTTS who goes down swinging while everyone else gets squashed. Kofi is the "safe choice", no different from John Cena and his dominance over the main event for so many years. But WWE at leasts makes it look as if there is a wide pool of top level contenders. Not so much with the midcard. I just want to see other faces get to have a chance to shine. I want the guys I like to possibly get their due

I almost agreed with you, but then you brought Zack Ryder into it. Zack should be the face version of Heath Slater.

No, it's not wrong
His "smiley and happy to be there even though I'm going to lose" persona is incredibly annoying.

I just want there to be one night where Kofi failed in winning a match, fails in saving someone, is chewed out by someone else and comes out in the final segment only for someone to make a joke about his status, causing him to finally snap and utterly destroy everyone around him with a chair. Just let him have a Ned Flanders moment.

Him and Zack Ryder are two I enjoy seeing get the hell beat out of them. Both definitions of total suckitude.
