Actually, on that note, I'm thinking Ward's going to DC to finally kill his brother. I know you mean Washington DC, but given the preceding conversation, I was hoping you meant Ward's brother was a DC Comics character he was going to kill. I can just see it now, Dan Didio: "His name is Grant Ward. The first 3 letters of his first name are Gra, and his last name has a D and is four letters. I've got it, if you flip them his first name has a D and is four letters, and his last name starts with Gra, that's a sign, we're going to kill of Dick Grayson for good." Geoff Johns: "Um what?" Didio: "It makes sense, he can be a long lost brother." Johns: "But Grant Ward is owned by Marvel, and..." Didio: "Stop right there, it's a Marvel DC crossover, fans will love it." Johns: "No they won't, and what I was trying to say is you can't kill off Dick Grayson." Didio: "You've said that so many times it's losing meaning. Dick Grayson is not popular, and has no meaning to DC. We need to get rid of him completely."

also i am now totally in love with Adrianne Palicki, shes tall, imposing, comes across completely strong and confident and extremely beautiful how in the f*** could they not make a Wonder Woman show staring her work? Did you see the terrible pilot they put out? That's how. edit: as for the Wards... I have a feeling Coulson was/is playing the both of them. still havent seen it purely because of how bad the set pics of it looked and i've seen the Aquaman pilot

A while ago when Smallville was still on the air. It was originally picked up for a series on the WB but it was dropped when they merged with UPN to make the CW for whatever reaso edit: hmm my timeline may be off and confused with something else since wikipedia says it was never picked up... but 2006ish was about when it was out.

Where did you guys watch the pilots for that and Wonder Woman? Are they on YouTube or do I have to go about more dubious ways to watch them?

Aquaman wasnt a bad show. CW just got cole feet about showing superpowers up front. Smallville at the time was still in the 'try na hide everything, be cheap' phase.
AoS is a good show and I am glad this season has kept the momentum of the last few eps last season. Talbot needs a Hulk connection though. I'd also like to see Hunter be revealed to be a Union Jack and the show visit England and involve Lady Jac, Black Knight and MI:13

Coulson and everyone else set Ward up. They wanted him to escape so they could follow him to HYDRA headquarters and to Skye's dad. They're not going to put him in those simple restraints unless they want him to get free. They're not stupid, for years HYDRA grew in SHIELD and took it over, now SHIELD is flipping it on HYDRA. This is the same show where high ranking SHIELD official Veronica Hand decided the best way to deal with Garrett was an extrajudicial execution before even a basic interrogation then asking a person with a known emotional connection to Garrett to perform the act. Yeah, SHIELD does stupid things sometimes. Plus, and maybe it's naïve of me, I can't see Coulson being willing to sacrifice FBI Agents like that. Also, as already pointed out, why would Ward go to HYDRA? He was never particularly loyal to them, their cause or their beliefs. The only thing he wants is Skye and even if they could get her they probably promised her to her Dad first. Not to mention Ward has been out of the loop with everything long enough to have no clue that Skye's Dad is working with HYDRA. What would HYDRA want with him? They seem to have a sturdy supply of super agents, another with shaky loyalty won't make a difference, and any intelligence he could give them on SHIELD would be pretty minor. The only way this theory would work is if Ward was in on it and working with Coulson. Would Coulson actually take that kind of chance? You know, the more we learn about Skye's Dad, the more it supports my dumbass joke theory that she's the MCU's version of Fin Fang Foom. I liked that Talbot didn't believe that this was a real SHIELD hit. He might not like SHIELD, he might see them as terrorists, but he's not stupid. He knows how they work and this wasn't it. The second that random European Lady SHIELD Agent that we've never seen before showed up on screen talking to Coulson I just knew that she was not living through this episode. So the head bad guy mercenary with the knife chain thing, was he based on a character from the comics? Because he has a very distinctive look and weapon that feels like it was adapted from something.

I'm sure those FBI agents were Life Model Decoys. It would actually make that speech to Ward pointless. Who is supposed to hear it then? The Hydra guy is comics version Whiplash, Marcus Scarlotti. IM2 Whiplash was a combination of Crimson Dynamo and Whiplash.

So it has to be Attilan, right? It's a map... It's a city... It's Inhuman. Only thing I'm wondering is how long this plot will be dragged out, given Inhumans isn't slotted until 2018. Four years is a long time!

Four years is a long time! I'm hoping we get the Inhumans origin story out of the way on AOS, introduce all the key players and characters that will be apart of it. That way by the time the movie is set for release they don't have to waste time introducing the characters and we just get to the shit.

Oh he was Crimson Dynamo I always assumed he was supposed to be a version of Omega Red only under the radar since Fox should own the character. I hope they find the city this season.

How much will be revealed on TV and how much in other movies? Dr. Strange is a possibility to explored Inhumans too. Captain Marvel too.

{Spoiler}I'm wondering if we get to meet any main Inhumans next week. Marvel doubled shipments of Inhuman #8...which goes on sale the day after the next AoS airs and focuses on Black Bolt and Maximus the Mad.
What's the matter Maximus...aka Skye's daddy...get booted from Attila?

{Spoiler}Probably not any of the "big name" Inhumans (Black Bolt, Medusa, etc.), since they likely want to save them for the 2018 movie.

Tangentially related post: here's a clip of Skye, Chloe Bennett, herself making a guest appearance on this coming Friday's The Birthday Boys sketch show (which airs on IFC).
