So I watched the episode today. {Spoiler}Kinda mixed feelings on Trip's death. Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of him in the first season. He came off as kinda creepy at times and just didn't fit into the chemistry that it took the original team forever to build. That said he came off a little more comfortable in the second season, but at the same time he seemed to have absolutely nothing to do other then be an extra body for major scenes. Even his crush on Simmons seemed to be dropped. He couldn't even be the token black guy because Mack showed up and he was a lot more interesting. So while I don't feel we lost anything major with his death it also feels like a lot of untapped potential gone to waste.
I loved the scene where Skye shot Ward. She didn't hesitate, she didn't warn him, she didn't even care that he was actually trying to help her at the time. She just said "you're an asshole and I'm just gonna kill you and walk away". It was hilarious. It's hard to believe this is the same Skye that was naïve enough to find SHIELD's levels of security clearance in season one shocking.
Agent 33 having no purpose was very interesting. Apparently the brainwashing technique Whitehall was using only made people loyal to him, not to HYDRA in general (we know there are other, higher-ranking HYDRA leaders out there then Whitehall).

My prediction: miss melt face is going to become hopelessly devoted to Ward like she was to Whitehall and he will turn on her in some cold blooded, heartless manner.
My peeve: now that the Cree are an established presence in the MCU, when are we going to see some Skrulls?

Doesn't matter, they are tied up in the license. The reason they used the Chitauri in Avengers is because they couldn't use Skrulls. I am fairly certain Agent 33/Fake May becomes: {Spoiler}Madam Mask

Yeah, I know. I'd love for that to happen. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the Skrulls were tied into the rights for Fantastic Four. Marvel can't use Galactus or the Silver Surfer for the same reason. When Marvel sold the rights for FF it included all side characters that are mainly connected to FF line of books. Maybe there is a loophole like with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. If there is I'm not aware of it.

According to James Gunn, Marvel only partially owns Skrulls, so there could be a loophole, but until FF is brought back into the fold it's probably a no-go area for them.

My question is: will Ming-Na continue to play both roles? BTW-any guesses on what the hell Raina turned into? Something with spines and lizard eyes. I've heard Tigra floated around a lot, since her eyes were more catlike than reptilian. I mean, Tigra wasn't an Inhuman, but neither was Quake.

{Spoiler}One theory being floated around is that the blind Inhuman is one of the newer Inhumans named Reader.

{Spoiler}Having seen a pic of the Reader character in question, I'd say that's very likely. The eyeless man does bear a sort-of resemblance to him. Plus, it seems as though the room he was in was filled with a lot of books, which is something that would be befitting of someone called "Reader".

So my brain did a thing the other day:
Daisy/Quake's appearance is based on Angelina Jolie in Hackers.
Skye is the MCU version of Quake.
Skye's original position in Agents? Their resident hacker.

I don't read comics, though, I thoroughly enjoy comic book movies, so this doesn't mean much to me, but, perhaps, it will mean something to those who do follow the comics. I read yesterday the suggestion that... Skye could be revealed as Daisy Johnson and her dad is Mr. Hyde/Calvin Zabo. I kinda of think she is Inhuman. And maybe the obelisk is related to Terrigen mists. You called it. Both of you. Hey I've been calling Inhuman forever Not necessarily. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Juxtaposing the flashback of Ward failing to shoot the dog and Garrett killing it from afar with him dropping FitzSimmons could be a sign that he's no longer that kid that can't "get the job done". It's meant to show that he learned that even if he doesn't do the kill himself, it doesn't matter because they'll end up dead anyway (in the case of the dog, by Garrett's hands). It goes to show how Ward has essentially given up on being good. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} This is pretty much how I took it too.
Also Skye is totally going to be revealed as an Inhuman.

Looks more reptian than feline, so I think Tigra is out as well.

Looks more reptian than feline, so I think Tigra is out as well. There is a Raina in the regular Marvel universe. She is a lizard person. It is probably the same character with a different origin like Daisy Johnson.
