When he gets "knocked" out of the ring, he always lands on his feet and usually does a stop, drop and roll.
He gets thrown into the announce table and it's hands-first to make sure there is no hard contact -- or maybe no contact at all.
There's a difference between taking bumps safely as to not get injured and acting like the slightest possibility of a bruise might be fatal.

I misread this as "worst dump taker ever".

Considering his shoulders are made of the bits they salvaged from Rey's knees, I'm not surprised he's extra careful when he bumps.

This is a guy who injured himself doing his taunt we're talking about.

I notice this stuff a lot and I sort of like it. Especially the way he protects himself getting slammed on a table. What kind of idiot wouldn't put his hands up if someone did that to you in a fight?

Cena is a far more awkward bumper. He doesn't land smoothly a large part of the time, and seems to land on his hips a lot.

Batista, Miz, Lex Luger all come to mind as making Randy look like Ric Flair in the 80's.

...and sadly the best bump on Raw tonight was Heath Slater taking the hurricanrana from the Los Matadores bull.

Cena is a far more awkward bumper. He doesn't land smoothly a large part of the time, and seems to land on his hips a lot. It's the fact that he seems to not want to land on his back. Every back bump he takes, he sticks his elbows or hips out to absorb the impact.

What's the story behind Orton injuring himself via taunting?

What's the story behind Orton injuring himself via taunting? Over the Limit 2010 vs Edge. He was doing his pounding the mat wake up taunt when he popped his shoulder out of his socket. They had to improvise a new finish where, instead of Orton hitting an RKO for the win, they brawled on the outside for a double count-out.
