Speaking of Jannetty shoots, apparently in the early 2000s there was a shoot with Marty that was conducted by a young pre-Chikara Eddie Kingston that's supposed to be hilarious. Has it ever surfaced? Are you referring to the one where he talked about Curt Henning's padlock ribs, believe it was 2004.

Because Marty is gone out his mind, he's most likely to tell it straight about Shawn's antics back then and that interests me. Marty is the kind of guy that it depends on what mood is he is whether he loves or hates Shawn at that moment in time, so honesty isn't guaranteed with him whether he is high or not. I've had to sit through some carny ass shit in shoots, and guys like Marty are as carny as it gets. Any negative stories about the Rockers will be put on Shawn, I've seen tag partners do it countless times, mainly when the guy they are putting the blame on is still employed by the WWE or doesn't need the money to do shoots to counter. Sad thing is the only thing that would get people to buy this is the mention of Shawn's name a few times in the trailer, and these companies can be very clever with their editing with trailers that it looks like your going to get a juicy story on a guy like Shawn, but then you watch the full DVD and there is very little info even given or it's obviously carny or bitterness that you can't take any of it seriously. Ive been burned to many times with KC, they seem to pick the worst of the worst carnies and they spout utter bullshit and the interviewer just takes it as gospel even if it's a story that has been confirmed for years. And wrestler's know when they are dealing with a mark like this guy and they know they can say anything. The Sandman timeline shoot is one of the worst, where the guy has notes about matches that happened (and they did) but Sandman has no idea what year was what and starts talking about another program/match from 1997 or 1998, and the guy just says "well i guess my notes are wrong". Brutus Beefcake's timeline was utter garbage where he buries anyone whose last name is Hogan or Beefcake, and the interview just sits there with a shit eating grin where he must know that he is beeing fed obvious bullshit and anyone who would watch the DVD would be screaming at their TVs. He seems to attract the most carny of wrestlers, and sits there like the biggest mark who ever could afford to pay for a video camera to tape it.

Watching this reminded me of Scott Hall's second shoot with RF.

Surprised this hasn't been brought up yet but does Marty admit to spiking women's drinks at around 1.50? It's kind of rough to understand but if he's admitting to drugging people then he is a piece of shit.
As for his drug issue. Has to blame himself and himself only. Probably has made millions as a wrestler and blew it all.

For one story, you can Google search for "Marty Jannetty GHB". But it's pretty horrific.

The fact he happily admits that he used to drug people and doesn't even care shows how messed up he is. I used to feel bad for the guy because of his ankle and obvious drug problem but I can't feel sorry for someone like that.

It definitely had some intriguing information, but for the first 15 minutes or so of this I was literally watching this, mouth agape. There really, really is some stuff here that probably should have been edited out, but for the most part I think this was an effective shoot.
Dude needs some type of help, and the whole bit on WWE not wanting to help guys who are hurt and not just drug addicts is something that really doesn't get addressed enough.

Ditto, I used to be a big fan of Marty, but the things he's done are just deplorable, and to make matters worse, he doesn't seem to think that he's done anything wrong. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to go 'Blah, blah personal responsibility, blah' and show no sympathy to injured or addicted workers, there is a case to be made for helping former employees deal with injuries caused by the long term effects of the WWF/E schedule, but Marty isn't the guy who should be making that case. They've tried several times to give him a job, they planned to make a big deal from the Rockers having one last run together but he couldn't keep his behavior in check. He would probably have gotten surgery for free when the problem first arose as a full time WWE employee, heck, he could have paid for it himself so Marty only has himself to blame.

I completely missed that bit about the Rockers and "gimmicks in the drinks." f*** him. Googled the story. f*** him hard for that. He needs to grow up and get help.
As far as KC goes, shit likes this put them in a really bad spot. They've brought the guy in, paid him, filmed it, and now they have to try and make that money back. You really can't shelf it without taking a huge loss. With a guy like Marty, you should know ahead of time that what you hear (true or not) is going to be pretty sleazy and horrifying. Sadly, there is a market for people that want to hear this kind of stuff. We can debate the ethics of this whole thing all day long. As a whole, I like the stuff they do. YouShoot is always good for a laugh and most of the guest bookers are entertaining at the least.
