Can someone explain to me these Marvel movies? They are extremely bad. What would you like to have explained? Why anyone gives a shite about them. Because they are not very good movies. I guess you can go OMGZ ROFLZZZ ALL DA AVENGERS AND DA GREEN GUY IS ON DA SAME SCREEN but meh so what, that Avengers movie was absolutely garbage.

Well I can't speak for everyone (who contributed to the $1 Billion gross), but I like them because they entertain me with their action, humor and acting. Plus the fact that Marvel has created a contained universe of movies is impressive in itself.

Usually, I'd agree that Marvel films aren't good... but the Avengers was legit one of the best of the type that's been made.
I didn't particularly care for any of the Iron Man sequels, or the Cap or Thor movies (really never was a fan of those two characters, anyway), but I'm interested in this because I'm a fan of Winter Soldier as a character and hope they can do a decent job with him. Loved that recently canceled solo series he had, especially the last run by Latour and Klein.

But getting back to subject, this is probably my most anticipated solo movie in Phase 2 because:
- The Winter Soldier storyline is incredible and should make for a great adaptation.
- Falcon will make his debut.
- The cast looks impressive.
- We'll get to see Rogers adapt to this decade (seen in The Avengers deleted scenes).
- It's our last stop until Avengers 2 and GOTG (which won't have anything to do with the Avengers, hence the last stop comment, but it would be great if they showed some preview/connection).

Unless you read comics or grew up watching Super Hero stuff on TV, chances are you probably won't like them. Some just don't understand the concept of it. I like the fact that Marvel is establishing almost a comic book line using film now, it's great because at times they capture what the reader reads on-screen. Then there is the SFX crowd that likes the graphics and action, and in my case there is a good sense of story in these films. Hell "Thor" was great IMO because it was an unorthodox super hero film. It had a Shakesperian feel to it and wasn't some generic wham blam action flick. I would like to know though your reasoning for disliking them out of curiosity.

I love the pulp hero action vibe of Captain America. And I love the thought of some one doing good solely because they are a good person. Cap was a damned fun movie with good action and acting.
Thor was a mix of an epic poem and a fish out of water story. It felt big and small. Something many action and super flicks fail at. The art/set/costume design is fantastic and the directing was great. The Asgardians were cast fantastically.
The movies are fun, and I get to see my childhood on the big screen.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier: It's basically more Avengers! Which is in NO way a negative. Plus, we're getting Falcon! Me and his other 3 fans are psyched!

I wonder if this film will have any links to Avengers 2, because as it stands, Thor doesnt like it does.
Be interesting if they are planning to go in to Age of Ultron dry and do the whole story in that film, with no foreshadowing.

I am not digging the new suit. Maybe if the headgear was connected. I like the idea of changin suits ans such, but perhaps if Cap kept the suit from the avengers and just had a redesign of the art on it. that would be better. The helmit being separate worked for the first suit since it was set in the 40's, but on the current suit I don't like it.

See that was my only quibble with his Avengers suit, them changing the cowl when it was great in the first Cap.
Jazzed they're going back to that style.
