I said this on another forum, but it seems that the "negativity" isn't killing Chris Brown. It's making him more bold.

Just like I can see it coming that he'll be free within two months because he's rich and famous. Try two days... without bail. I spoiler'd it due to length but yea..... [/quote] That was just the initial arraignment, those tend to occur fairly quickly in most cases, especially for relatively low significance cases. As for the without bail thing, that's going to be based off the severity of the crime and how likely a person is to flee for it. In his case, any bail set would likely not be effective, and you're not going to see astronomically high bail for a misdemeanor The 2 months comment, I assume, as related more to what would happen if he was convicted, and this case wasn't to do that, it was to set the parameters that he would be tried on. What that means for his parole is the subject of another court date.

If he goes to prison, his record sales and female fanbase will increase drastically.
One of the most insane things about the reaction to him beating up Rihanna, were the amount of WOMEN defending him and blaming her.

One of the most insane things about the reaction to him beating up Rihanna, were the amount of WOMEN defending him and blaming her. The worst part was all the women saying "I'd let him beat me!" Even if you were joking about, that's really not the type of thing you joke about.

Translation: He's gonna spend a few months at a wooded retreat with a sauna and poetry circles until this all blows over. Then he's gonna mess up. Again. Not to say he's an aberration, this is pretty much typical Hollywood for you - break the law, go to "rehab," keep your nose clean for a minute, then break the law again. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Can we just outlaw celebrity rehab as a punishment?

I remember going to an advance screening of that "Takers" movie he was in about a group of robbers and some EXTREMELY large African-American woman would start hollering stuff whenever he was on screen. Why they didn't get a forklift to toss her ass out is beyond me. Amusing part was (spoilered for people who haven't seen that shitty movie): {Spoiler}when he gets shot, she starts wailing about how they "done shot mah baby!" If her 1st born son was killed in front of her, I don't think her response would have been as severe

Can we just outlaw celebrity rehab as a punishment? It's usually not in place of actual punishment, but an attempt at a PR hail mary. I think people tend to buy into it less now, but it's basically the same as tossing a few bucks in a collection plate and smiling, hoping people will stop being mad at you.

My sources in the music industry tell me that this will be the first single off his new album once he completes rehab.
