Last time TNA tried to get Hogan he made a deal, they filmed some footage of Jarrett attacking him, then Hogan claimed a knee injury and all that came of it was some of his buddies coming to TNA in his place. Hogan was just using them to try to get a new deal out of Vince.
But he did manage to get TNA to fire Russo in order for him to come in. As soon as they realized Hogan was full of crap they brought Russo back.

Seriously though as much I hate Hogan if it puts TNA on the map I'm all for it. Exactly. The thing is..even though the smarks who watch TNA anyway hate him..they are having trouble bringing in the casual fan..and this is certainly a way to do it. Thing is..I wouldnt really have him wrestle..and certainly not book. Maybe a Kevin Nash-esque role of using his charisma and personality to give a positive rub to some of the main TNA regulars...

Considering Hogan was in XWF which was far more bush leauge than TNA is now with thier PPVs and TV contract, and he practically all ready did go to TNA once (Jarrett guitar shot in Japan) it's hardly out of the realm of the possible. If it'll get them more exposure, fine. Otherwise, I have no desire to see the orange goblin hobble about some more.

I read that he would be a wrestler AND a booker. Unless TNA were willing to tell him no he'd be champ his first night there and would be the top guy at the expense of the entire company.

Also, this could be more attractive to Hogan since he wouldn't have to travel to far from home and would only have to show up twice a month to run a program. I think the only thing that would stop him is money and the chance to face Austin at WM (and since that seems unlikely, it could be even easier).

If Hogan didn't wrestler (or only did "dream matches" a couple times a year), I'd be interested to see him handle the books. He never had that responsibility in WCW or WWF/WWE, did he? If he wasn't in the mix wrestling-wise, I owuld be curious what type of booker he would be.

I can't imagine what he would even need to go there for. He has all he could want where he is.

I see this as a pure publicity stunt to try and increase his stock in time for a larger paycheque for his expected Wrestlemania appearance. We know that whatever WWE show Hogan is on he gets paid more than anyone else, because it's in his contract, maybe he's looking to extend his 'lead' as it were.
But in terms of pure economics it's doubtful if Hogan would want to earn a 'meger' $100,000 which is probably as far as TNA would stretch. I also think that he understands his appeal and his character more than anyone and realises that he needs to ration it and reserve it for special one off appearances in order to command the really HUGE paycheques. He could probably earn in excess of three million dollars for his WM appearance so why would he want to jepordise that?

I certainly hope they're just screwing with WWE. I can't see any upside to Hogan working for TNA if he actually steps into a ring to wrestle and I can't see him booking without his ego getting in the way.
