Was watching 3 weeks worth of nxt and midway episode 2 saw this news. Now lost interest to watch the rest especially considering episode 3 has ohno vs harper.

Umm... if he got released for being "fat" I will facepalm so hard that my nose will break. I mean Vince let BIG DADDY V on our TVs SHIRTLESS.

Not seeing how he gets the axe but Corey Graves still has a job, they've had sort of similar runs in NXT and he's a lot better than Graves in the ring and on the mic.
I think giving his finish to Wade Barrett (whom they proceeded to do absolutely nothing with) derailed him a bit, since the gimmick that got him to the level of getting signed by WWE was all based around that KO elbow. He's got a zillion moves so he could've got past it, but there's a lot of talent on NXT and they're taping 4 episodes at once so taking a few months to iron things out can get you lost in the shuffle quick. His build wasn't ideal but oh well, he's very athletic and fluid in the ring, shouldn't really matter. If it does then change his attire or something, don't just cut him. I get the feeling this is a "send a message" release, unless he did something wrong that we don't know about.

Really hope we don't get hundreds of "He coulda been the next (Blank)!" comments now. This....could get ugly. Man, a wrestler other people liked was released and they're upset about it; I hope you can survive.

Probably due to the deadly combo of love handles and Hank Hill ass. For purely selfish board entertainment purposes, I'm hoping he got fired over a fight with Bill Demott. Hero doesn't like jelly donuts. He prefers lemon. He can go both ways!!! HE DIDNT MEAN THAT!!!!!!!

I think in Vince's mind, that's different. Vince is probably okay with wrestlers being heavyset as long as they're in decent shape physically and can work. To him being big and plump is acceptable, but being a "regular sized" guy with a poor physique is not.

I'm a pretty big Chris Hero fan, but he just wasn't gelling with the WWE style in NXT. He honestly didn't seem like he was going 100% most times in the last few months either.

On the one hand, I feel really bad for Kassius because as someone had commented earlier, the dude busted his ass night in and night out for 10 years before he finally got a chance at the big time. To get released just because the guy can't get ripped like they want him too sucks. On the hand, the PWG fan in me is squealing like a fan girl because this probably means the guy is coming back to PWG. The pop if this guy comes back to Reseda is going to be enormous.

NOW A KINGS OF WRESTLING REUNION WILL NEVER HAPPEN! DAMN IT Anyway I'm not shocked by this, Hero's indie stuff is great but there was nothing on NXT that convinced me he could be anything in WWE. Maybe we'll do better elsewhere. He would be a great pick up for TNA seeing how they might be hitting the reset button soon. He would be a good fresh guy to push.

If this is indeed legit, which I'm not buying until he or WWE confirms it, I can imagine Punk going apeshit. It might not do anything, but he'll be pissed.

It's a weird message to send. Be dedicated...unless you're REALLY not dedicated.

To be fair, Husky was sent back to developmental to lose weight. But while Husky was...husky, the dude more than made up for it by being able to move like a truck. I've always said it, but The Army Tank With The Ferrari Engine was my favorite to win NXT Season 2. He was like Umaga but without his gimmick restricting him from cutting promos, which we're seeing that now with Bray Wyatt, who has lost some of the pudge, but is still pleasantly plump. The thing is that with "fatasses" like Viscera, Yokozuna, Rikishi, Brodus Clay, and Wyatt, their size is a lot of their appeal and factors into their gimmick and ring work. Not so much for a guy like Chris Hero.
