If all it took for Jhonny Peralta to earn his contract was a day on the bench, we should have done it Day 1.

That's always a risk when you sign a roider. What's he going to do when he's clean especially once he's in his 30s?

I don't know if MLB having tons of evidence, coming at him, and him going yeah I did it cause he had no other way out could be equated to fessing up and taking it like a man.

Big win for the Yankees today and CC actually pitched all right. Only gave up two runs and one was on a passed ball. Solarte also got his first big league home run.

Bogaerts breaks the no-hitter Sale had going on. And the bullpen pissed-away his one-hitter in the 9th. Was kinda hoping Alexei's franchise record breaking hit would have won the game, but down 2 with 2 out and nobody on base made that a silent feat. Fans saw the hit and left.

Huge test for the Mets over the next week: three against Atlanta, four against St. Louis. Walking away from this around .500 would be perfectly cromulent to me. Anybody catch the Jays bullpen last night? 5-3 lead over Minny in the 8th, and then three of their relievers proceed to toss out eight(!) walks, a few wild pitches, and wind up giving the Twins a 9-5 lead. Worst bullpen implosion EVAR? And as an aside, this is pretty fascinating: fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/what-the-diamondbacks-rough-start-says-about-mlb-and-the-nfl-and-nba/

Billy Hamilton with one of the worst swings in the history of baseball. Saw this live and laughed for a good few minutes.

Another bad day for Strasburg Remember when ESPN was all over his nuts and his first 3 or 4 starts was a huge event?
